Alabama ready to build Nick Saban statue

Alabama athletics director Mal Moore is ready to erect a statue of Nick Saban outside the football stadium now that the coach has won a national championship with the Crimson Tide.

The Tuscaloosa News quoted Moore today as saying he will recommend to university President Robert Witt that the university place a statue of Saban outside Bryant-Denny Stadium in an area called the "Walk of Champions." Moore said those talks will begin immediately.
