Ahman Green arrested.

michaelm

vox nihili
I just saw on espn bottom line that Ahman Green has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. I haven't seen anything online about it yet.

Make a trade! He would fit right in!!

Really? Do we have a lot of guys who have been arrested for domestic violence?
I must have missed your post on the issue.

I've wasted too much time recently responding to people who haven't looked before they leapt into a topic, mostly the AG situation as well as the other releases. It has made me cynical, at least temporarily... I have re-read some of my recent posts, and find that they are beginning to be a little more harsh in cases than I originally intended. Hence, my sarcastic response to Mike's post.
I assume he was exaggerating the character issues that have been associated with a few of our recent acquisitions... and that is another topic that is beginning to set me off... people acting like we are suddenly a team of thugs because Travis Johnson was wrongly accused of rape, wrongly said to have hit a coach at the combine, and because Buchanan is a hot dog who is maybe a little too full of himself....

chronic...towards the bottom

• Packers' Green arrested — Green Bay running back Ahman Green was arrested after a domestic violence incident, the Brown County (Wis.) sheriff's department said.
Deputies went to Green's Ledgeview home after a 911 call ended with a hangup Monday night. The four-time Pro Bowler was arrested at about 10:10 p.m., taken to the county jail, posted a $150 bond and was released about 11:50 p.m.

Dude, lay off Vinny! Let the newbies figure me out. :hmmm:

What do you have MichaelM that says that TJ did not take a swing at the MIN coach? All sources I have seen point to the fact that he did. Care to link me to a source that says otherwise?

And yes, the statement I made was of the  variety, the Texans seem to be "dumping" the over-priced, yet stand out guys (Sharper, Glenn, etc) and going with the younger, more brash variety (Buchanon, TJ, Vernand, etc.). I guess that is the price you pay when you are making a youth movement: with age comes experience in life and on the field, with youth comes the opposite.

Also, I am not of the type that will just say, "CC, DC, BM are the leaders of the team, and they know more about what they are doing than the fans", because I am a passionate fan, too high and too low given the circumstances.....this would be a "too low" moment as I am sure many Texans fans are facing recently with the shake-up within the team.

Could someone give me the full story on what TJ did at the combine? Cause I didn't hear anything about it.

Here are two links to the same info, but from two different sources...

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/members/ratings/profile.php?pyid=192

http://www.neworleansprofootball.com/031605nextlevel.html

"...had a bit of an awkward moment with a member of the Minnesota Vikings, as he as he hit everything but his hands during a drill that is purposely suppose to have the defender knock the person's hands down... so while he was very aggressive, a lot of people said he was not disciplined and a little hard-head, as he seemd to get angry with the coach, and accidentally hit him in the face during the drill, since he was so off the mark..."

I have also heard this somewhere else, but can't remember the other source, so I won't try to quote it.
I also believe that I read it on these boards, but don't really want to search for it. These links should suffice.

Same as what I read on the boards last week. Where, I can't remember.

Hehehe@ MikeMc and Vinny. It can be pretty easy to come off as a smart*** behind a computer screen...yet be so different in person. I see the sarcasm (and sarchasm, this one is more appropriate for this thread) in Mike's post. I for one, really appreciate sarchasm. :heh:

Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

Post on folks.
