Adrian Peterson Highlight Reels

AustinJB

Rookie
The purpose of these highlights is not to persuade others that we should draft him (not that it matters what we think either way). I would love to draft him, but I also know that we have many other needs as well.

I just thought it would be nice for everyone to get a good look at what he can do b/c I know that some may not have had a chance to watch him in college.

The kid is not only an amazing talent, but also an amazing FOOTBALL player (and there is a differnce). He is everything that you want in a RB. Power, speed, excellent vision and cutback ability, good hands out of the backfield...and he runs with such determination and desire. Wow!

He is definately someone that you want on your side rather than against you...trust me, this is coming from a Longhorn fan. Enjoy!

Same thing I have been preaching for weeks, he can flat out cure allot of the problems on offense immediately. OL can be had in letter rounds. I don't believe Denver has spent number one pick on their OL, yet they find line man of their choice in letter rounds.

Looks like McKenzie is gonna have to give up his number. lol. great clips.

In the first youtube one he has some runs where it should be illegal for a guy that big to run that fast. Man, can that guy cover some ground in a hurry. I still worry about the mileage but that was nice.

There's no doubt the dude is amazing. The only, and i mean only questions surrounding him are his injury concerns. If he hadnt gotten hurt last year, I gotta believe he would be the first pick in the draft his year. If we have a shot at him at 8, we HAVE to take him. If we go into next year with Ron Dayne and Chris Taylor at RB, we will be in big trouble.

Well he did announce today that he will be going into the NFL. My best guess is that Cleveland will snag him up before we ever get a shot at him. There running game is the pits and they want him as bad as we do...

I agree that he would have an outside chance at being the #1 pick if he had not gotten hurt this yr. However, I don't understand why his injury is having such a perceived impact on his draft and durability status.

He broke a collarbone for crying out loud!:tease: His only other real injury was a high ankle sprain. RBs get these types of injuries every season.

What is the big deal? It's not like he tore an ACL or ripped up his knee! Right? Now these would be injuries that should cause teams to question durability or whether or not he could recover to full strength. Broken collarbone and ankle sprain? I don't think so. Easily healed and absolutely no effect on his future potential.:shades:

he is a great football player that showed in Oklahoma that he would do anything to help the team win. he WAS Oklahoma's offense for 3 seasons. I like the fact that he is a gamer and was willing to risk millions in order to play for his team in their bowl game. If not for his injury he would be a Top5 pick easy but because of the injury he could possibly be available at #8.

I sure hope so, I think he could be the new identity of our team. He has definitely proved he is a workhouse at the college ranks ala Steven Jackson or LT.

He could help us more than probably any player in this draft.

I want Joe Thomas, but cannot see him falling. Since the draft was completed last year I have said we must go with the best CB or SS early. Moreover, I have railed against the need to draft a RB in the first round and that was heightened with Kubiak bringing his offense to Houston. However, I love Adrian Peterson.

I hope we take a CB/FS in FA. Have a T and C targeted in rounds 2-4 with the anchor of that plan being AP with the 8th pick. He is high impact at the RB position right away in my opinion.

I don't understand why everyone is so concerned about his injuries. They have always been fluke injuries and he has never had and structural leg or knee injury which is a RB killer. And even Frank Gore came back from 2 knee surgeries and look at him?

I actually think his injury this year will be a PLUS for the NFL team that picks him up. One less year of wear and tear. He'll be fresh as can be next NFL season!

I'm hoping the top 3 goes Russell, Johnson, Quinn b/c if he gets past Cleveland I think he falls in our lap! Unless of course another team trades up to grab him!

I like that Peterson really does punish people when he runs. He hits people. He fights hard for yards after he's tackled. The guy is very physical.

Well, it is just my honest opinion and I could be wrong, but...

I think a running back like Mr. Peterson could turn this whole team around real quick... But that is just me...

He is exactly what we have needed for so long. But like I stated before, I just don't think he will be there for us to grab... I want him more than any 1 player in the draft...
