Aaron Glenn

Practice Squad
Why can he play nickel for Dallas but not us? or 2nd cornerback for that matter. God it's frustrating.

Because it was here, as player rep for the union, he pointed out to the coaches that they were exceeding the contact drill limits that all teams are supposed to follow during coaches sessions.

Just a rumor I heard.....

Or be a starting corner for us another year or two so we could use the 2
& 3 we exchanged for PB this year to instead pick up an OLineman(s) &/or TE. Given the surprisingly disappointing performance of the OL today, its not out of line to start the second guessing.
And based upon what I saw today, PB is not an upgrade of either Glenn or
Faggins.

Glenn made a nice play to get a pick in the endzone and seal the win. Of course, we know he can't play anymore right? :brickwall

Extra contact drills and we still suck

That's the problem. These guys already know how to hit - they need to work on a slicker offense/defense and learn the game at this level. Vince Lombardi and beating the daylights out of each other in practice was 40 years ago.

Who caaaaaaaaares? Dallas barely won, the pick was damn near from playing zone in the end zone anyway and they had him doubled. He never did that for us. Mr. Late to every play Aaron Glenn. My boy likes Dallas and was yapping in my ear about him before the season started. I told him they can have him. He couldn't do that in single man-man coverage so what? Exactly how he played when we lost to the Lions last year is why we don't need him. There is nothing you can do about it. You know how it goes. They don't do something on one team, then go somewhere else and try to avoid ending their career early by finally playing for that check! No big toys in the driveway and rock waterfalls for the pool until you earn it lazy ***! For the love of the game... For not wanting to be a free agent for the rest of your life is more like it.

Did we give Pbuch a contract extension?

not yet but im sure its in the works we did give up a second rounder for him. i doubt we did it for only one year of his services.

Yeah, he was a big nothing for your team  . Playing for the check? That's what you're calling it?

This may all be true, but P Buch is not any better and possibly worse. I will say again...this guy is just not a good CB

Well I have nothing to do with who replaced him, but I am definitley not missing him either. Maybe it's from the performance that Dunta Robinson gave on the opposite side that distracted me from anything Aaron did last year.

Yup...the guy's a pansy. He's affraid to lay hits and cover guys like a real CB should, like Robinson.

Two of the plays PBuch made yesterday were negated by penalties, like when he dropped McGahee in the backfield for a 5 yard loss...

A "W" is a "W" on the scoreboard. There are no degrees of winning. It is black and white: you win or you lose.

I hope AG has a pro-bowl year (but Dallas has a losing year :heh: ). I've never held a grudge against him, and I'm not going to start now just because I dislike the Cowboys.

He's getting old...he may have thought we were too far away and the Cowboys were closer to the playoffs than us. Right now he looks right if that was his thinking.

Judging from our first game of the season, I'd have to agree with him.

True a "W" is a "W". I'm just wondering why people are acting like we gave up the biggest playmaker in history by letting him go. You have no control over a person producing more on their next team than they did with their prior team or slowing down in production on the next team. Whether it's their actions or a new system that allows for better stats out of that player. It is something to whine about if you never gave a person a chance on your team or barely played them, then they get somewhere and show you what they might have been able to do. I don't hate Aaron Glenn either, but like I said he's gone, and if were going to have to rotate CB's then so be it. It's just like on here I see alot of people saying let Carr go, and whatever else they had to say about him. Now if it's year 7 and we let him go after feeling like he's not getting it done, then he get's to... wherever and leads them to the playoffs then what can you do that's all. So if that were to happen and someone says "Did you see how David picked apart their defense?", it would be the same response because we don't have him. With whatever Oline or offense that we had he couldn't bring about the same results, so what do you want now? Why keep talking about it? Produce or didn't produce you can't get them back, at least not for some time anyway :(

There is no barely of anything ..Dallas won the game end of discussion, so leave your bitterness aside. Glenn is great as a N corner and adds leadership and experience that obviously paid dividends for Dallas yesterday. Leave the homer mentality aside, Glenn is solid as a N or Back-up corner at this point of his career. :ok: :penalty: :fishing: :bomb:

The last time I checked Parcells hadn't won a superbowl without Belichek on the same sideline. Please do not get caught up in the Eastern media hype of Parcells. He is a good coach and former players like to play for him. Lets leave it at that.

That same logic can go with Belli and Crennel and Weis so please leave that weak argument at the door. Bill is a solid coach end of discussion.

Yes very weak. Only time will tell. And time ain't on Tuna's side.

The Cowboys won and We lost and as much as I hate to admit it they are a much better team than us right now. I hated to see Glenn leave and in no way do I think our CB crew is better than it was last year. The fact is that he is gone. We have so many glaring problems right now that, as much as I'd like to dwell on it, I think we need to move on.
