a tribute to the NFL2k series...

At the very end it said NfL 2k football will return.....it still leaves me hope that a good football game might come out in the future

ncaa 06. blitz. Plus, starting in 2006 or 2007, Madden will start using the ESPN franchise.
 
Man, I'll miss the ESPN2k series. Sega was catching up (if not surpassing) EA's Madden franchise.

We won't see an NFL licensed game from another developer for many, many years. And I hate to say it, but I think Madden/EA will not have any incentives to constantly upgrade their product without tight competition.

OXM already gave Madden '06 an 8.0 (out of 10). They said it is already treading water, with only two new features from last year, without the need to compete.

We'll see how it rolls out with the 360, though. Who knows...

But RIP ESPN2k! You were fun while you were around. :(

Truck Stick

Thats 4 off the top of my head and I havent even played the game. Seems these OXM guys have no idea what they are talking about. I'm a huge 2k fan as well, but im not gonna bold faced lie like these guys to down a product.
 
I've read about QB vision (cool) and Superstar Mode (cheese, IMO)...

but what are "Precision Passing" and "Truck Stick"?

I'm not a fanboy in any way, as I usually buy all of the football games each year so I can determine which is the best for me. I've bought Madden every year on release day since the days of the Genesis, but this year I'm going to skip it, though, as I've already got NCAA Football '06 and have reserved Madden '06 for the 360 release.
 
I personally think the superstar mode is the only decent feature of the new ones...

Truck Stick = Jamal Lewis/Jerome Bettis power rush sorta gimmick thing with the right analog stick.

Precision passing...I dont know too much about it, It has to do with the amount of touch on each ball. I thought it was already in the game before, but apparently its new this year...
