Time: 10am - ????

There is tons of room for washer games (or other games) and a friendly football scrimmage. I am working on some additional entertainment, as well as door prizes & giveaways. Check back for more details!

Further details:
Alcohol is permitted (No glass bottles (just like the beach))
Dogs are allowed.
All grills are permitted. Trailered grills must stay off the grass, e-mail me and I'll mark off spots for you.

Electricity is available (let me know in advance if you need it)

Cullen Park is located at Barker Cypress and Saums Rd. The area we are in is on the North side of Saums. From Downtown Houston you go West on I-10, exit Barker Cypress and go North to Saums Rd. Turn Left on Saums and go past the sports area. Turn Right on West Park View Dr (there is a huge sign for Cullen Park). It is NOT in the area with the sports fields.

Ok guys - I need some input. Looks like I've chosen the weekend prior to the all access event. So I want to know if we should postpose this to June, or just leave it as-is at May12. I know we're going to be tailgating at all-access prior to, so are y'all up for back to back events?

Well, I have to work May 12th, so I reallly don't want to comment. Just the perils of being a nurse and having to work weekends. Where is Cullen park anyway?
 
I might come but I would be coming from Austin and have to get a room for the weekend. Not that is a huge deal ... nearest/cheapest flea bag would do.
 
Mods - can I get a sticky on this? Also I can't seem to edit the original post anymore - anyway to fix that?

These in Katy are as close or closer as Hwy 6. There is riff raff everywhere but more so the closer to town you get. I hear about it all the time from my buddy at HPD. I hope this helps some.

AVOID I-10!!!!! Worst than a nightmare with all the construction!!

I'm going to TRY to trade and get the day off David, but, since it took me over 2 hrs to get from Pasadena to Katy Friday night, I might need to get a room on that side of town. Don't want two hours of road rage to ruin my day!! :wild:

You could take 59 to beltway and then take Westheimer to fry road, i am not sure what construction is over on 59 (since I live in Austin) But I know this would help you avoid I-10.

My Mom lives in Deer Park. She takes Bltwy 8 to the Westpark Toll Road out here. Of course being on her son's corporate EZ Tag acct helps, too.

That's where I ran into trouble Friday night. I don't have an EZ tag so couldn't take Westpark Toll Road. They had the Beltway intrance to I-10 shut down, both ways. HORRIBlE traffic, the signs posted told you NOTHING, so we circled around for almost an hour before we found an intrance to I-10 west. Most of the headache was dealing with the horrendous traffic on a Friday night. You can bet your season tickets this old gal will have an EZ tag before long!!!

Exit Westheimer off of the Beltway and take Westheimer to Highway 6 (or any other road between the Beltway and Highway 6), cut north to "I Hate 10" from there...
 
Hey Bill - everything is ready to go. I've just been extremely busy this week and haven't been able to post much or add more to this. The only new update is that electricity is available if anyone needs it. Just let me know.
 
I've obtained DJ services so there will be music as well. Still working on door prizes and other what not.....

Thanks for the offer - but I can't accept. I've been keeping my out of pocket expense to a minimum and I was able to get the DJ services for gratis..... So just put the $$ toward more beer/food/jello shots...... :toast2:
 
David! Sounds like you have done a lot of work to make this a GO!! I am SOOOOO terribly sorry I will have to miss! Can't find anyone to work for me that weekend since it is Mother's Day weekend. Doesn't matter to them that I AM THE OLDEST MOTHER THERE!! lol Anyway!! You all have a great time, take lots of pics so your Blue Crew "grandma" can cry in her coffee!

Everyone's going out of town, so they say. If I can figure out how to work 12hr shifts Fri, Sat, and Sunday night, drive to Katy and back, and still function with a clear head, I will be there.
