A position not mentioned enough

Ok, so all year long I watch my Aggies play thinking about one player that deserves alot of credit but recieves few to none. Chris Alexander is A&M's fullback and a absolute beast. Watch the two TD runs vs. UT and both times he rolls the defender. He's a big boy (5'11" 242lbs.) and is a bulldozer for the Aggie rushing game. He can run when need be (averages around seven yards per carry and one touchdown this year) and can catch out of the backfield (11 catches for 78 yards and three touchdowns this year).

Now before ya'll jump on me for talking about a fullback, just look at the highlights and watch his two blocks (he's #24) and see what he does to men in his way.

A couple other people I wanted to get some opinions on is Justin Warren (LB #10) and Mark Dodge (LB #50), thanks guys.

Justin Warren will play in the NFL next year. I see him as a solid 2nd day pick.

Dodge is overrated by Aggy fans. Yes I know, he makes some big plays, but he is not the next Derrick Johnson or anything.

And yes to the TV announcers of every Aggy game, I know he was at the Pentagon and he is a HERO, but try talking about football during the games instead of politics or the war in Iraq.

And about Chris Alexander...

My younger brother is a freshman at A&M and he goes to all the games. He took me to one earlier this year & was tellin me to watch #24.

I was like, "what? watch the fullback?"

I did and I am very impressed. He has enough speed for an NFL FB & he can catch and hit the holes as a runner.

But the most impressive thing about him is that he hits LBs head-to-head for the entire game but he hits harder as the game goes on.

I wouldnt be suprised if he leads the team in pancake blocks.

I think he is a junior so if he stays in school I could see him being the first FB drafted in 08.

Yes he is good but how about # 11 baby WHOOOOP!!!! TU did not have Young to save them this year LOL :):dance3:

Lane is a good college RB but he is overrated.

Goodson is the best RB on that team & he is just a freshman.

Yes I agree Goodson is a great back and he is only going to get better but you have to give it up for the big man that is a great one two punch the Aggies are going to dominate next year.:mario2:

They wont dominate unless Lane gains some endurance.

13 carries per game is pretty bad for a guy who is supposed to wear down defenses.

I see that but I think they will use Goodson more next year I think Lane will also be in better shape that Aggie running game is going to be scary

Heck yea! The Aggie run game finished #1 and it will only improve next year!

I am so excited!!

Warren is a good player but he is a little bit slow by NFL standards. I have been watching him all season.

Another Aggie to watch for is WR Chad Schroeder, he runs in the 4.3s, and can be a second day steal due to the lack of exposure by the run heavy Aggie offense.
