7 Rounds - a different slant

#3 Kayvon Thibodeaux Edge/DE
#13 Devin Lloyd ILB
#37 Zion Johnson OL
#68 Kyler Gordon CB
#80 Alec Pierce WR
#107 Luke Fortner OC
#108 Isaiah Likely TE
#183 Hassan Haskins RB
#187 Smoke Monday S (Trade - SF)
#245 BPA
I am warming to taking Lloyd at #13.
We could do with a stud enforcer to help KGH in the middle of that defense. I remember how good our D was when Cushing was in his prime.
And with a dude like Thibodeaux wreaking havoc up front, our D is going to look vastly improved.

Trade!
N.O. get #3 - Texans get #16, #19, #98 & 2023 2nd.
Texans selections:-
#13 Drake London WR
#16 Nakobe Dean LB
#19 Bernhard Raimann OL
#37 Jaquan Brisker S
#68 Sam Williams Edge
#80 Travis Jones DL
#98 Charlie Kolar TE
#107 Zion McCollum CB
#108 EJ Perry QB
#183 Andrew Steuber OL
#205 Ellis Brooks LB
#207 James Cook RB
#245 BPA

I do like the idea of acquiring 16 and 19 if NO is angling for a trade up. That would give Texans 6 picks in top 80 and 8 in top 108. A much different draft capital situation than last season. Could possibly add the top WR, OG and LB in draft or the second tier of DB, edge rusher and OT.

I still lean taking Neal at 3. But I wouldn’t be upset with a trade down like this. Really hard to get this draft wrong with all the ammo they have this year and needs to fill.

Here's the Texans selections from The Athletic's Dane Brugler 7 round mock released today (requires membership):

Houston Texans
RD. (PICK)NAME, POS., SCHOOL
1 (3)Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
1 (13)Jermaine Johnson, Edge, Florida State
2 (37)George Pickens, WR, Georgia
3 (68)DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
3 (80)Channing Tindall, LB, Georgia
4 (107)Bailey Zappe, QB, Western Kentucky
4 (108)Cade Otton, TE, Washington
6 (183)Yusuf Corker, S, Kentucky
6 (205)Chase Lucas, CB, Arizona State
6 (207)Hassan Haskins, RB, Michigan
7 (245)Vederian Lowe, OT, Illinois
I would prefer taking DBs earlier than the 6th. And that 4th round QB pick is ridiculous. I would take CB at #37, a Safety @ #107, and a slot receiver in the 6th.

068: SS- Jalen Pitre (Baylor)
080: FS- Nick Cross (Maryland)

107: RG- Jamaree Salyer (Georgia)
**TRADE….Ravens Get: 108 & 245 / Texans Get: 110 & 196**
110: WR: Tyquan Thornton (Baylor)

183: SS- Markquese Bell (Florida A&M)

Agreed but overall I like it.

Give me Neal instead of Ickey or Sauce instead of Ickey and I'm happy. Give me McCollum in the 4th over Zappe.

If you pick Sauce at #3 then Give me Salyer at #68.
