Why are we getting upset at a bunch of backups and some play-calls to test those backups? I don't get it. This is a preseason game, the first preseason game. Our "vaunted" defense never saw the field in this game. Our starting o-line played 1 series... and actually, didn't even see that with X out.

Is it just me or does Mallet still look like he has the better command, unflappable and more poised?
I know we didn't see Hoyer for long, and Mallet was was playing with the twos, vanilla offense, blah, blah, blah, but it really makes me want to see Mallet with the ones again.

Yup! One thing about Strong is that he'll contort his body and position himself to make that catch.
If we want to call that a "possession reciever," fine, but I believe he can be a bit more than that.
