49ers board

You'd expect some more respect of our team with such knowledgable representation.

There seems to be some, but I expected more.

they are a good group........and there's a bunch of them coming down to Houston for the game

That's the one board I've been a member of for a while. I usually just lurk but posted my prediction there a minute ago. Pretty cool board.

They think we are going to roll over for them because they had a week off. One thing I am scared of is how our defense will react to their screen passes. In the past our defense has been suspect to that and over the last 3 weeks our opponents haven't really ran the screen on us. Frank Gore is kind of scary.

Patrick Willis on our TE's or Steve Slaton also scares me.

I think better tackling in the secondary with the emergence of Glover Quinn, Jacques Reeves and Bernard Pollard should help us against screen passes.

Not to mention we upgraded at LBer substantially in the offseason adding Cushing who can make plays sideline to sideline and Diles getting healthy and winning the starting WILL. We've got 3 sure tackling LBers and got rid of the pansy tackling Bennett and whoever we had at SS from week to week. Not to mention the coaching staff moving towards a rotation with more ends and less tackles give us a quicker DL to stop those plays before they can develop.

I think we're much better equipped to handle screen passes than we were the first 3 games of the season.

Adding Reeves,Pollard and Quin's tackling and coverage abilities have been the key to the defensive resurgence. IMO

I wish they would have signed Pollard at the start of the regular season. Failure to do this cost them the Jacksonville game. IMO

That's true, with millions of dollars in cap room we decided to "save some money" by waiting until we didn't have to pay his full season salary and instead a weekly salary. I hope the playoffs doesn't come down to 1 win!!!

We need to crush the Jags in their house either way. Losing on Battle Red Day is unacceptable and we need to show the Jags we will not tolerate it!!!

Here's a thought from some Niners fans...:dancer:

Dude. You don't need to tell us about Hill and rub it in our face lol. Shaun Hill isn't even a top 30 QB...we are all aware of that

I always root for the Texans and Schaub scares the **** out of me this sunday

I'm staying quiet. I would like to talk a little smack about SMU but If found that to be terrible luck for the Coogs.

I did send a pm to a guy named Texan Bill telling him to get off "our" board though. :specnatz:

Currently, I'm jacking with some dude about Craptree.

You'd think for two teams that have practically been on the exact same level the last 4 years they'd respect us a little more. I hope we kick their ass and change their mind.

whenever we kick anyone ass the automatic response is that they beat themselves.
whatever, this team does better with low expectations

Is anybody worried about michael crabtree they say hes going to play this sunday?

Not really...he'll probaly do more blocking than making plays in the passing game on that team. He may get a couple receptions, but expect Gore to be the bigger focus of the defense...:jogger:

Not at all. He sat out all this time, and has never been in a real speed NFL game. I think he will be in for a rude awakening, courtesy of Dunta.
