I think Hamilton is a PS squad player year one. Just how roster construction is post Covid with the larger PS spots.

With a little work he’ll fit in fine a lot of people don’t know he was at Rutgers on a wrestling scholarship he was the number 1 HW wrestler in the nation and chose Rutgers because they said they would let him do both sports so he decided to go football full time his sophomore year and it worked out. Believe it or not he played QB against Caleb Williams in high school and was giving them the business lol it’s on YouTube somewhere

We are rooting for him, and hard to imagine a better place to be developed. If he is a grinder, this coaching staff and defense will get the best out of him.

Ersery won't be denied. I am no talent scout but I just have my intuition. Ersery may not start the season but by our return from the bye week he will start and make a difference!

What's one mans trash is another mans treasure. It works that with antiques and it can be the same with NFL teams. There are always instances where players careers look like they are over or they are going nowhere but another team gives them a chance and they shine. The Raiders of long ago used to thrive off other teams trash or castoffs. I would love it if we got a few of those types that fit with our team when they couldn't make it elsewhere!

To me this OTA has an erie similarity to last offseason. He has this offseason again suffered a grade II calf tear and is not expected to attempt return until at least TC.

With this information from Doc, it’s hard to plan for Harris being here this season. Obviously hope for the best, but there is a reason they signed E.J. Speed. Maybe last year’s 6th round pick LB Jamal Hill can develop and become a factor beyond ST. But it is looking like Speed vs To’o To’o for LB2. Harris likely to IR (again) but this time in a contract year.

Depends on how bad Harris tore his calf muscle. But it's true you cant count on Harris to be healthy for a full season.

I was really hoping we could snag a developmental LB again like Jamal Hill and see if Demeco could work his magic like he did in San Fran with their previous LB corps.
 
With Darby retiring, my roster projection moves Ward into his roster spot. I had said previously that I think the team would keep one of them as “designated vet” DB. Ward can play nickel as well. I would say he provides veteran insurance at safety or nickel CB but history suggests he’ll be injured before a starter.

I think we resigned a vet DB (CB I think) recently. Let me look

May 21, 2025Signed CB Myles Bryant to a contract. Signed CB Keydrain Calligan to a rookie contract. Waived G Jerome Carvin and DE Kingsley Jonathan.

So we signed Bryant back. To be honest, I hope that we sign a TC cut and get rid of Bryant. I see his name and all I think of is that stupid play he pooped the bed near the end of the year (might have been the play offs) that all but gave the other team a TD. I don’t even recall what team it was. But, if you know what I am talking about maybe you remember and can post it. It was BAD

I don’t judge a player on one play. Bryant is a serviceable veteran. He has outplayed expectations for his career as a UDFA. I think he found this past season on the Texans that his talent level has been maxed out. He’s a guy who can play on a bad team but will struggle to make the roster/play on a good one. Camp competition.
