I didn't stay up for the Texans' picks last night, so I checked my phone with anticipation when I got up this morning- and I must say that I'm feeling underwhelmed. Day 1 was an enormous success, IMO. Day 2 was meh. I'm not wild about Scruggs, and while the trade up doesn't bother me in a vacuum (the Texans have a ton of picks in the draft, and were likely going to end up cutting a couple of late picks anyway), the fact that they were spent on a player I am not sold on is disappointing. It's the same thing with Dell- I don't think he was the best WR available. In fact, I think there are WRs still available that will have a better career than Dell. So the trade up, while it doesn't sound like bad value (does anyone actually have the picks exchanged?), seems unnecessary to me.
