NFL.com still showing both
Scruggs didn't test great at the combine. But he's a strong dude that won't get blown up at the LOS.Not seeing or hearing good things about his mobility. He certainly lacks quickness.
Cougars fan. Dell to Texans woooo. Dude is solid. Only question is his size.
Dell is more about quickness, finding the hole, and YAC.Hyatt goes at 73 and I am hoping coaches got this one right in Dell. Caserio said he wanted speed and 4.49 is so so.
Could've had Jalin Hyatt at #73.Oh **** we ninja traded for Dell.
I am just not certain he gets that in NFL. We will see. I am not hating on him but would have preferred Hyatt who went at our old pick 73 and no round five.Watch his film. His separation is insane.
Dell is more about quickness, finding the hole, and YAC.
He's a surer thing than Hyatt.
He fits the scheme much better.
This offense is going to be very dynamic between running the ball and play action, bootlegs, involving the TE and the RB also.
It's going to be multi-facet, and not depending on a number 1 receiver.
He transitioning to outside or remaining slot with Metchie out?Dell is more about quickness, finding the hole, and YAC.

He has played both. Probably depends on the package at the time.He transitioning to outside or remaining slot with Metchie out?
My top needs coming into this draft was QB, DE, C, and WR in that order.
The Texans have drafted a QB, DE, C, and WR in that order. That’s never ever happened in 20 years of watching this team draft.
Anything from here is gravy but I’d be over the moon if it’s Washington.
Damn.
Had more late round picks than could probably make the team. Using them for fuel to get starters. All of the big holes have been filled.
In this case, they actually used the Texans logo to indicate the team that made the #11 pick. The do it every year.. someone says Titans when referring to the Texans.
Could've had Jalin Hyatt at #73.
Too early to say about role and usage. He transitioning to outside or remaining slot with Metchie out?
His problem is that he came from a spread offense, and many do not believe he will transition well when he has to play in more confined space. The belief is There is he's lived with so much space available for him to release into and adjust to coverage that his processing and timing will be big time challenging in the NFL. And that's not to mention his build is slight and he has not been known for physicality. He won't win too many fights for the ball.Did Jalin Hyatt shoot someone? Why is he still on the board?
We don't have a WR1 and it is too early to ask?Too early to say about role and usage.
Just be happy to have another weapon in the arsenal.
Scruggs didn't test great at the combine. But he's a strong dude that won't get blown up at the LOS.
Hyatt's not going to be a high volume WR, but a team can find ways to get him off the LOS. He serves a purpose of vertical stretching the defense. That has value, or should. His problem is that he came from a spread offense, and many do not believe he will transition well when he has to play in more confined space. Does Nick want another 7th rounder?Wonder if Davis Mills can be traded for anything. Don't know who would give a pick for him, just throwing it out there

You know me, I'm always concerned with the injury factor. He has not dealt with any major injuries in college since his high ankle sprain that messed up his red shirt year. But at 5'8" 163 lbs, you have to worry in the NFL, especially at slot.I am just not certain he gets that in NFL. We will see. I am not hating on him but would have preferred Hyatt who went at our old pick 73 and no round five.
It's very difficult to determine BPA though.
This is close to how I learned BPA...teams may also stack the board with only positions of true need
Dell likely a special teams pick.I'd rather have Dell for what we need. You'll like his film.
We start the day off with 2 of the first 3 picks in the 5th round I know thatWhat picks do we still have on day 3?
There is truth to that but everyone in college plays in a spread. I was a Hyatt guy because he can hit his head on the goalpost every play.I like Dell too. They needed explosion either way and got it.His problem is that he came from a spread offense, and many do not believe he will transition well when he has to play in more confined space. Fraction Jackson and Mike Wallace. Those types have a purpose in the nfl and are accounted for. You can motion a guy to get him off jams, its not hard.Hyatt's not going to be a high volume WR, but a team can find ways to get him off the LOS. When did they trade 105?Yeah, sometimes it takes the sites a while to update. I got all excited when we traded up to get Dell because PFF still showed us having the 73rd pick. :/ We didn't.
4th rd right? We start the day off with 2 of the first 3 picks in the 5th round I know that
Yep meant 4th round4th rd right?
Dell likely a special teams pick.
Dell great stats avg speed another surprise to me but a Uof H guy.
As a junior in 2021 he played 14 games and hauled in 91 catches for an outstanding 1327 yards for an average of 14.6 yards per catch, with 12 TDs, and a QB rating when targeted of 116.2.
As a senior in 2022 he played 12 games and led the nation with 102 catches and 1355 yards for an average of 13.3 yards per catch, 15 TDs, and an outstanding QB rating when targeted of 132.0.
a slot receiver he has displayed the capability to operate on the outside.
- Hugely productive receiver - led the nation over the past two years with over 2700 yds and 29 TDs
- Dell accelerates quickly and possesses excellent straight-line speed. He shows solid ball-tracking skills and body control downfield, able to adjust to the off-target throw.
- He’ll be coming to the NFL from a wide-open spread offense in which Dell ran a limited route tree.
- When corners play press and manage to get hold of Dell he can be taken out of the game and easily outmuscled

My business wasn't publicly funded. You have said you own a business. Do you try to maximize your profit or do you purposefully set income targets to maximize your benefit to society? the McNair‘s are exceptionally generous to the Houston community. That’s good, right?
