2023 TEXANS DRAFT DISCUSSION

Here is some poop soup for you. Next year's draft the top 6 to 8 picks are better than this year's draft. 2024 1st RD picks are premium picks, you don't give them away. Giving away 1 of your 2 2024 1st RD picks may cost you a chance at Marvin Harrison or Brock Bowers or 1 of the 3 QBs who are all better than the QBs in this year's draft. The smart move would have been to trade back and pick up a 3rd 2024 1st RD pick. That would require someone to put down their Gameboy joystick and stop living in the moment. We call this forward-thinking Poop Soup.

We’re not going to be in the top 10 picks in next seasons draft.

Has big hands, long arms and had a fairly decent combine. Gave up 10 QB hurries, 3 QB hits and 1 QB sack last year. Before last year played mostly at OG.

Texans have two of the top three picks in the 4th, easily two more starters.

Take Vorhees and stash him for a year would be pretty damn sweet

My top needs coming into this draft was QB, DE, C, and WR in that order.

The Texans have drafted a QB, DE, C, and WR in that order. That’s never ever happened in 20 years of watching this team draft.

Anything from here is gravy but I’d be over the moon if it’s Washington.
Tell me about it.

Dell great stats avg speed another surprise to me but a Uof H guy.
As a junior in 2021 he played 14 games and hauled in 91 catches for an outstanding 1327 yards for an average of 14.6 yards per catch, with 12 TDs, and a QB rating when targeted of 116.2.

As a senior in 2022 he played 12 games and led the nation with 102 catches and 1355 yards for an average of 13.3 yards per catch, 15 TDs, and an outstanding QB rating when targeted of 132.0.
  • Hugely productive receiver - led the nation over the past two years with over 2700 yds and 29 TDs
  • Dell accelerates quickly and possesses excellent straight-line speed. He shows solid ball-tracking skills and body control downfield, able to adjust to the off-target throw.
a slot receiver he has displayed the capability to operate on the outside.
  • He’ll be coming to the NFL from a wide-open spread offense in which Dell ran a limited route tree.
  • When corners play press and manage to get hold of Dell he can be taken out of the game and easily outmuscled
Hyatt goes at 73 and I am hoping coaches got this one right in Dell. Caserio said he wanted speed and 4.49 is so so.
