It’s never this simple. The risk with Stroud is that he tops out as a top 12-15 QB, and you have to pay him Lamar Jackson money yet he isn’t quite good enough to win playoff games. That type of mistake can end up taking 10 years to work through.Which is worse? Drafting a guy that doesn't pan out and you give up on him after 2 seasons? Or 3 seasons from now, you're still looking for your QB while Stroud is a franchise QB.

Not sure why the rebuilding Titans would want the aging D Hop.
Understood.
In baseball, if you strikeout, you want to strikeout swinging.
I'd rather see my team trying and take chances, rather than playing it safe and hope you get lucky.
Nick is risking his job if they take Anderson and Titans trade up and take Stroud in which he turns out to be really good.
Cal ain't having it.
Texans should really consider Wilson with the second pick on a trade up to 5,6,8 etc if they considered Wilson as a potential 2 overall.

One wonders if all these Wilson fans are aware of his Linsfranc injury.
They don't care..They hope he drops to 12I just don't know why we are ignoring the Texans were heavily interested in him. They clearly don't care.
So, if the Seahawks had traded up to draft Wilson early in the first round, they would have been reaching? Not really. I'd be getting them with a pick other than 1st overall... like all of those guys you mentioned.
All I'm saying is that you don't force the pick. If you've got a QB graded as the highest guy on your board when your pick comes up, then you take him. If there's a guy you want and you don't think they'll get to your pick, then you trade up to get him.
But you don't draft a QB with your top 3 pick just because you need a QB.
We know the fate of these players beforehand? How you know what he’s going to top off at?It’s never this simple. I was for trading down or going D with 1.2 but with more reflection, just get a QB. No guarantees of course but what guarantee will we have a low enough pick next year to get a tier one QB? We have a very narrow window whereby we can stock up with some great round one picks, so just pick.Nick is risking his job if they take Anderson and Titans trade up and take Stroud in which he turns out to be really good.

I don't want a mediocre QB. Givw me a guy with a high upside for Slowik/Johnson to develop. Actually don't give me a QB high in this draftSo you want a QB that's not the best available? That sounds like a Texans thing to do.
We don't know how any QB will do. What we have seen is AR and Levis have a higher upside. We know the fate of these players beforehand? How you know what he’s going to top off at?
There are no guarantees, Vegas has the Texans tied with the worst record in the league. 5.5 so betting odds say they won't even need to make a trade to draft a top QB in 2024.I was for trading down or going D with 1.2 but with more reflection, just get a QB. I think that's a bad analogy.
Taking a shot just to take a shot is bad strategy.
#2 pick is such a mystery that bovada took it down for it to bet on. Trade coming ?
Potential is the greatest job killer of all.We don't know how any QB will do. What we have seen is AR and Levis have a higher upside.
Of course not, that’s why it said it’s a risk. A lot of people think Stroud’s potential is limited due to his struggles under pressure. It’s hard (but not impossible) to improve that.We know the fate of these players beforehand? How you know what he’s going to top off at?
Everyone is missing the real dilemma. What are we going to do after this weekend and the week of bitching en masse?
Caleb Williams' style of play is Hero Ball, which you don't like. There are no guarantees, Vegas has the Texans tied with the worst record in the league. 5.5 so betting odds say they won't even need to make a trade to draft a top QB in 2024.
Because it's part of the pageantry of the draft to hear it announced at the podium.
And it's fun to discuss and be on social media or here on this forum too. That's what we've been doing for months now, right? And that's how we follow our teams and connect with fans, right? But you now even have talking heads on radio and TV talking about picks before they're announced too. It's unavoidable and it sucks.
It wouldn't be so bad if it was just on twitter... it's the posting of it here that ruins the watching of the draft for the rest of us. If you want to get your draft info via twitter fine but don't post it here until after the fact
You surly act like you do. Lol how so? I’ve watched them play and both of those guy’s struggles with accuracy and reading defenses. We don't know how any QB will do. What we have seen is AR and Levis have a higher upside.

And watch David becomes his agent. Lol going to be epic around here.Caleb Williams' style of play is Hero Ball, which you don't like.
