2022 NFL PLAYOFFS

I am so glad the Texans didn't draft nor trade for this guy.

A SB and a NFCCG in the last 3 yrs.

I would take it.

Could've been the Texans if Jimmy G had been drafted insead of the Hoyerable/Os yrs.

Just remember the 49ers wouldn't even be in the playoffs without Jimmy G leading his team 90 yds in 70 seconds for a game tying TD to lead his team to an OT win.

And despite not playing well tonight he lead his team to a game winning FG with 3:00 mins left. Things that numbers dont show, coming up big when the chips are down.

My lawyer may be sending divorce papers to NRG soon.

And you will live an empty life.

Always trying to convince yourself that it is better being alone. But always looking at your friends with their significant others happier than you. They all achieved what you wanted.

And that 2nd wife you divorced? She ended up getting married again and married up. Found that thing you always wanted. A successful partnership that achieved the ultimate goal.

And there you are. Bitter. Alone. Empty. Broke. And even you best memories are just disappointment. 35-3. 51-7. Nothing to show for all your years of sacrifice.

On your deathbed you will wonder what could of been if you just stuck it out. And the worse of all “That could of been me.”

I told you to quit going to those damn Easterby meetings. Now look at you.

He led the team for two crucial FG drives. I mean, what more can you ask for?

..For more than that.. If not for 2 game changing special teams plays how significant would 2 ft drives be?

This falls under QB gets too much credit/blame..

I didn't see much from Jimmy G tonight.

I am super high on Demeco Ryan's though. Someone is going to get a GREAT coach.

I don't know. But we can ask @steelbtexan. I've never believed the hype.

I believe that's 1 SB and 2 NFCCG's in the last 3 yrs.

Jimmy G doing things the DVOA crowd cant understand because they dont show up in the numbers. After playing very badly for most of the game, Jimmy G drives his team down the field against the #1 Seeded Packers on Lambeau field in 0 degree weather for a GW FG.

You cant measure that in your DVOA stat BS. That's about mental toughness. The ability to raise your level of play after sucking most of the night, when your team needs it the most is a special quality. The 49ers wouldn't even be in the playoffs if Jimmy G hadn't done this week 17 against the Rams and he's doing this with a bum thumb (Have you ever tried to trow a ball with torn ligaments in your thumb? Trust me it hurts and to do this playing the Packers in 0 degree weather might explain why Jimmy G was off tonight) and a bum shoulder.

I watched the game. To be honest, I don't even know what "DVOA" is. He didn't have a good game and wasn't the reason why they won tonight.

Heck yeah man, handing the ball off on 3rd and 7 and watching Samuel run for 9 yards, that's mental toughness. In all seriousness though, maybe football is a team game and Jimmy's defense and special teams came through for him? Props to him for gutting it out and playing hurt, but yeah he's not the reason they're advancing to their 2nd NFC title game in 3 years. It'll be interesting to see if he has to throw the ball more than 8 times to win next week...

Took them 40 yds or so by throwing the ball.

I thought Lil Shanny got conservative by running the ball twice in a row that got them the 1st down to setup the GW FG. But it worked out.

Green Bay played just as well. But Aaron Rodgers won’t be playing next weekend.

Tannehill did his JimmyG impression today. I've never been convinced that he is a franchise QB. D'onta Foreman appeared to be the best RB on the field today and he got only 4 carries for 66 yards. They kept feeding Henry the ball and kept hoping he would break off that big run. He averaged 3.1 YPC.
Absolutely.
You always go with the hot hand!
Henry may have been still suffering from the aftereffects of his injury - dumb not using your most effective weapon of the moment.

So the biggest thing I got from these two games is that you don't have to build a perfect team to get to and advance in the playoffs. You absolutely need some playmakers in each phase of the game and kicker with some nerve, but idea let's fill every hole on our team before we can expect to win anything might not reflect reality especially years without that perfect in your conference.

I don't know man, holding Aaron Rodgers and that offense to 10 points, blocking a FG and a punt, and getting 7 from the latter there, I'd say the defense and special teams were clutch. Of course Robbie Gould hitting a 45 yard game winner in that weather, also pretty clutch.
This.
You would have thought the scoreline would have been at least 14-0 at the half the way the teams played.

Would it be fair to say the two better Dlines won on the day?
