Possible Altering Scenarios

• Houston
  • If Kareem Jackson’s contract is valued in the 3rd round, Houston will get a 3rd for him instead of a 7th for Kendall Lamm.

That could be huge for this draft. I mean, O'Brien could take another stud TE with that 3rd rounder.

The bigger hurdle the Texans face is finding out how Roby is valued. He could cancel out either Mathieu or Jackson.

Lamm was only on the field for 4 games this season.....not holding out hope for RD7 COMP pick.

Covington was pretty solid for the Cowboys and played the entire season.....he may exceed his projected RD7 COMP pick. Anything higher would be great.

If the Texans managed 2- RD3 and say a RD4 or RD5 for Covington then this would be a nice trifecta of COMP picks. If Roby cancels cancels one and the Texans wind up with a RD3 and RD4, RD5, or RD6 then it still beats a sharp stick to the eye.

Lamm was on the roster the entire year. Had he been released prior to week 10, he likely would not be in the compensation formula.

Covington only participated in 45% of the defensive snaps. He'll be valued as his contract suggests, in the 7th round.
