2018 Texans Talk Mock Draft

Bouye still made First Team All Pro. Stats would indicate they shared targets remarkably similar. Both played all 16 games, Bouye had 56 tackles, 18 passes defended and 6 Int’s. Ramsey, 63 tackles, 17 passes defended with 4 Int’s.

I understand but how would Bouye have looked had he had to cover Hopkins instead of Fuller or Antonio Brown instead of Martavis Bryant?

Don’t get me wrong Bouye is great and should still be a Texan I’m just saying Ramsey played a big part in his success.

Bouye only started 11 games in 2016 season with Texans yet he had more tackles, 63 with virtually same passes defended, 17. Only one pick? Guess his hands really improved opposite Jaylen against all those big, bad #1 WR’s

You still don't give that player a ridiculous contract. The Texans made a generous offer and got beat out by a team with a stupid amount of cap space. It is what it is.

He had one good year when he got playing time due to injury... he was the 4th corner for pete's sake! It would have been silly at that point to franchise him, cuz he wasn't going to sign here for equal money. I read he wanted to go home to Fla.

edit:sorry, meant to quote next post

Ramsey is the real deal and will be top three DB for the next 10 years.
Jags secondary is going to be a headache for any offense for many seasons to come.

He made second team, not first.

Injuries can put a damper on that Texansphan. Ask the Houston Texans
Understood, but they have good quality players at each position on that D and multiple severe injury seasons are random, rather than a given and can happen to any and even most teams.

Three picks in the first round, I'm taking the best O-lineman available. Watson is the key to any future success of the team and they cannot afford for him to be RG3 2.0.

They may have gone wingspan crazy. That's not a bad thing, but there's a lot more to consider than mere length. He played in 33 games, but started only 13. We do need late round and free agent targets.

This guy was the starting LT for Pitt early in his career. He hurt his knee and lost his job to O'Neill. This guy has some ability and is worth a look in the 6-7th rd. IMHO

The signup is in the Mock Draft Forum under the same title.

You can take 2 teams if you want too.

Steelbtexan, will this Mock Draft follow the existing order with no possibility of trades being discussed between the participants?

o
I will look up the draft order for each rd and post it.

This is something Lucky did last yr and it was greatly appreciated.

I need all of the help I can get.

Once again I want to thank you guys for joining in and want to let y'all know how much I like the back and forth. This helps pass the monotonous time of yr. We have a bunch of teams left to fill, if anybody knows of a responsible person or 2 you could invite, by all means invite then.

if this GM is has good has he thinks he is he can find a Pro bowler Tackle in the 3rd round .......

Are you two referencing RS? Gaine and O'Brien will be the ones in the hot seat.

I'd be ok if LT, Jacoby Jones - Ohio State slips to the 3rd round. His level of competition may have him a little better prepared for what comes next, but it would be up to Devlin to have him prepared to impact the team in year one.
