2017 NFL Combine

Jamal Adams cut his 40 time by .23 seconds at the LSU pro day (4.33 from 4.56).
This is just the sort of situation that often makes one doubtful about the veracity of reported performances, especially the all-important 40 time, from a Draft prospects pro day.
A drop in time of this magnitude in such a short running/sprint event strains the credibility of reports issued from the pro day.

I take pro days with a grain of salt. Different surfaces and conditions can make quite the difference. I like to see guys compete for times at the combine, atleast then you know that the playing field is even.
Yeah but that's a big descripancy. Makes me wonder if he had some injury at the combine.

Not to mention the vast majority of pro day times are hand times while the combine is all laser timed.

Would like to see the Combine and Pro Days throw some uniforms on these guys so they can be gauged based on what they will be wearing to play the game. Some guys just carry the weight of their equipment better than others.

Based on the Combine and Pro Day results, most QB's should walk in and hit 60+% of their passes after being drafted. None of those passes were thrown under duress which could show coaches how fast they process their situations and find the right receiver.

Doing everything in Track and Field gear could be a little misleading.
