Glad to see Jackson's got a spot. I'm also interested to see how Hogan fares. I think he's one of those guys that could have a brighter long term future than the draftniks are predicting.

Shilique Calhoun (DE, Michigan State) accepted a Senior Bowl invite but pulled out this week. Very odd.

Connor Cook (QB, Michigan State), Taylor Decker (OT, Ohio State), and Shon Coleman (OT, Auburn) all declined invites. I point these guys out because all three of them are getting 1st round hype that I don't think translates from their tape. Producing at the Senior Bowl would confirm draft stock for each. Declining makes it look like they are trying to protect their draft status by not getting exposed.

Or they feel they dont need to risk injury because what they have done throughout their college career is good enough. Not saying either side is right, but they could have other motives besides protecting themselves from being exposed

I like Jackson a lot, he stood out in the 3 or 4 Houston games I watched this year.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up on par with a guy like Kareem Jackson in the pros (not the falling down version). He's probably not ever going to be a lockdown guy, but he can be an above average starting 2nd corner, IMO.

Shrine Game QB recap:

#1. Vernon Adams (Oregon)
- Easily the star of the show. Looked like a Russell Wilson clone. Talent wise he's a bit closer to Tyrod Taylor than Wilson but he really impressed with his ability to move in the pocket, re-set, and deliver the ball down the field. Probably the best performance I've ever seen from a QB in an all-star game. It's usually tough sledding as guys are running an offense they've known for a week and have no chemistry with teammates but that was not the case with Adams. He really put himself on the track to get drafted this week because, by all accounts, he was just as good during practices.

#2. Jake Rudock (Michigan)
- Got absolutely beat up behind a porous OL but did a good job driving the ball and made some impressive tight-window throws. WR drops hurt him as did Charlie Weis' play calling, which was very focused on screens and swing routes (for all QB's). Threw a perfect 4th & Goal post in the 4th quarter that got dropped in the end zone. He's a low upside backup at the next level. Doesn't have the size or arm to wow you but has smarts and is accurate with the ball.

#3. Nate Sudfeld (Indiana)
- He really struggled to start. Play calling was calling a lot of short passes and he threw some really ugly short hoppers. Got into a groove later though and threw a beautiful out route for a TD. CB had no chance with the ball placement. Sudfeld has a big frame and strong arm, but there are obviously some mechanical issues to work out as well as coming from a spread offense. He has starter potential but is a definite project.

#4. Brandon Doughty (Western Kentucky)
- Threw 2 really ugly INT's early in the game but late in the game had a beautiful seam route he dropped in to the TE. His arm is stronger than Rudock's but it was clearly the next weakest arm at the game. I see him similar to Rudock in that I think he's just a backup but he also has no experience running pro style so he has a learning curve ahead of him. I'm not sure he gets drafted but definitely think he makes it into a camp.

#5. Joel Stave (Wisconsin)
- Ball explodes out of his hand but it sprays all over the place. Not very accurate throwing downfield. Has the size and arm strength but just doesn't look natural at QB. I don't see him as draftable.

#6. Blake Frohnapfel (Massachusetts)
- He just didn't seem to belong. Everyone other than Adams had some struggles but also made a couple 'wow' throws. I didn't see that from Frohnapfel. He threw a nice looking deep corner route down the field but he was late with it and it floated and gave the Safety time to come over and pick it.

We call him Ginger Adams, named after our Chihuahua because of his quick feet & pocket presence. More of a passer, plus ability to extend plays posses strong arm, maybe closer to Vick? Has to learn to throw ball away when pressured, not pull it down, run & lower his shoulder. Slide damn it slide or you will be exterminated, lol :bomb:

Dogs will shock you. Elvis is the last dog I thought would catch small prey - 88 lb lunk head boxer. SOB comes up to me with a rat the other day. I'm kinda figuring he accidentally stepped on it.

He's great with cattle. Just never saw him as a ratter.

Funny how sidetracked & draft starved we get, this in reference to East West Shrine Game not Senior Bowl. Wonder if some lame, trying to protect their draft grade QB pulls out so Ginger Adams can strut his stuff, back to back?

I don't know if it's a good thing, but I think Kareem is hands down the best #2 corner in the league

#Baylor DE Shawn Oakman checks in at the Senior Bowl at 6-7 1/2, 269. Looks the part, but could easily add another 20-25 pounds in #NFL.

If you like #NFL inside linebackers built like a brick house, #Alabama's Reggie Ragland is that. Senior Bowl checkin: 6-1 1/4, 259 pounds.

Chase Goodbread ‏@ChaseGoodbread 13m13 minutes ago

http://La.Tech DL Vernon Butler: 6-3 7/8, 325, and has long arms too. Plenty of buzz on him here. Highly thought of. #SeniorBowl

#Alabama QB Jake Coker measures in at Senior Bowl at 6-5 1/2, 236. Certainly has the prototypical size teams want.

North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz checks in at Senior Bowl at 6-5 1/4, 233. Big, 10-inch hands. Has those measurables #NFL teams look for.

Indiana OT Jason Spriggs: 6056, 301 lbs, 912 hands, 3418 arms. This is the guy I expect to breakout this week.

I would love to see rds 3-5 go like this,

Rd.3 Clark
Rd.4 Vannett
Rd.5 Drake even if they had to trade up into the 4th

more and more of the kids are pulling out...shame
shrine game used to filled with 4th/5th rd kids now a lot of later 6/7th rd/udfa types and senior bowl is becoming more a game for later rd prospects types that the NFL scouts want to see vs top competition and a few late 1st/3rd rd guys

I doubt he's even on the board by the time we're on the clock in the 2nd. He's starting to get late 1st round hype.
Yep, I had him mocked weeks ago but he has climbed rapidly. I think Wilfork returns so I take Ridgeway from UT late round day three
