2016 NFL Draft

It's draft day!

It looks like it's Goff or Wentz to LA and Goff or Wentz to Philly.

After that it's the Chargers and then the Cowboys.

I'll start the thread off asking what y'all think the Chargers and Cowboys will do at 3 and 4.

If I were running the Chargers I take Tunsil. But Ramsey has to at least be in consideration.

Dallas takes Ramsey at 4 if he's there.

Another question, there has been noise of players dropping like Paxton Lynch into mid or later second round, Myles Jack and Joey Bosa to post 20 and Vernon Butler to late second round. Anyone have reports of unexpected player moving up significantly?

Leonard Floyd is supposedly going to be a top 10 pick

I've seen chatter that Stanley could go before Tunsil. I've seen some say that Hackenberg might work his way into #30 or #31 because that would give the drafting team flexibility with the fifth year option.

Ryan Kelly was graded as a 2nd rounder forever and now I'm seeing those same people say that he won't make it to #20.

People are also starting to finally catch onto the idea that Karl Joseph could go pretty dang early.

Having said all that, you can't really trust anything you hear from teams right now. Any real source that's giving out info has to be lying unless they want to get fired. All the info is coming from media guys that are either trying to get last minute hits or they are just late to the party.

Braxton Miller said he would like to be a Texan. He likes OB.

I like BM. He has good speed, showed some receiving and route running ability. His agility and acceleration are excellent t as well and if he learns the finer points of route running he could be extremely dangerous in the slot.

He also returned some at the senior bowl.

Miller is a great athlete and could definitely be the next QB to make that transition to WR successfully. The only thing that scares me is how often he got hurt in college. Seemed to me like he was getting nicked up all the time. I mean multiple times in every game.

That and also I don't think he looked as comfortable running some deep routes. But I don't think that is as big of a deal as the injury concerns you mention.

Not advocating this, just throwing it out because of some chatter....

But what do you guys think about sterling Shepard at 22 if the other top receivers are off the board?

I love him. I'd prefer to trade back and grab him if that were the scenario, but that's always how everybody feels.

I like Shepard more than Coleman and Fuller and most people seem fine with them at #22. Why not Shepard?

Bunch of dudes sitting around a room talking masturbation. Better chill out or there won't be any cake for the apres draft party.

If I were the Chargers, I'd draft Connor Cook. If I were the Cowboys, I'd draft Connor Cook (since I'm not the Chargers & I know the Chargers aren't drafting Connor Cook).

Anyone else nervous again that Rick Smith will be involved in the Texans draft night? Rick seems to get the 1st round pick right, but it's been well documented that he sucks in the mid rounds and has been known to make some WTF was he thinking type of picks.

You do know tonight is 1st round only right?

That just seems so crazy to me. He's getting drafted based on pass rushing ability and basically little else, and yet his TFL and sacks dropped each year in school.
yep and heard radio guy say he's fast but can be handle easily by TE let alone OT.

To be fair, the only WTF pick he's made was Sam Montgomery. All other picks I remember were decent at the time.

I am interested on how Smith does these 3 days as I have swallowed my disgust with him due to FA acquisitions this off season. On paper, he did really well. Of course time will tell with these guys as well with draft picks, but have to give him credit so far. We at minimum should get three excellent players today and tomorrow.

David Carr on SkySports right now talking QB's going#1.

Interesting quote "youth is wasted on the young" when asked if he'd do anything different if he could do-over his career.

Hope, we find someone good T,WR,DE,NT. Since we got new QB, likely give him a weapon or protection on O side is a top priority?
