R1- OT RONNIE STANLEY
NOTRE DAME
First things first, fix the trenches. Better pass pro, can flip to either tackle spot & athletic run blocker. Duane ain't getting younger.

R2- C MAX TUERK
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Ben Jones is a good back-up OG/Center. Tuerk will be a great NFL center. No brainier.

R3- OG SPENCER DRANGO
BAYLOR
Just to be sure Brooks has help @ guard position as well as much better NFL starting OL depth, too good to pass up here. Let's fix this thing, right here right now!

R4- QB CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG
PENN STATE
Mallet can prove himself over course of season. With Foster returning & better line play down the road I feel this will also aid rookie QB. Hoyer is just insurance & Savage is both unproven & suseptible to injury.

R5- KR/WR BRALON ADDISON
OREGON
Can we add a dynamic kick returner? Special teams are still not so special.

R6- FS DOUG MIDDLETON
Appalachian State
Need length, speed & youth to safeties/db's. Big corner 6-0 210 projected to FS with 4.4 forty.

That's what Dallas did with T,G, and C .

As I draft.
1. Laremy Tunsil OT and Stanley are both still on the board. Tough choice, but I think I'll go with Tunsil.
2. Max Tuerk G/C
3. Carson Wentz QB
4. Kyle Murphy OT There were four other OTs available rated higher, but I like his Stanford experience.
5. Brandon Shell OT I was going to go WR, but I couldn't pass him up in the 5th. He is actually one of the higher rated OT that I passed up at 4.
6. Braxton Miller WR I know it's a reach, but I loved his YAC potential and smarts. Also, the best emergency backup QB in the league.
7-12. Times out.

And if you think you're getting 8 picks in the first four rounds to pull that off you really don't have a clue about the draft.

It's a draft simulator dude , a game , fake , it ain't real , there's no Santa . Every once in a while you you get a good draft . Try it and post it .

Using the CBS draft board:

22: QB PAXTON LYNCH MEMPHIS
52: OT LE'RAVEN CLARK TEXAS TECH
85: RB JORDAN HOWARD INDIANA
120: G CONNOR MCGOVERN MISSOURI
159: C EVAN BOEHM MISSOURI
166: DT D.J. READER CLEMSON
198: WR/TE THOMAS DUARTE UCLA

First, I don't think most, if any, of the players selected will be available at these draft slots. But, this does reflect my thoughts on what the Texans need to address in the draft. They have to find a QB, first and foremost. Lynch was the QB available. I think a power runner like Howard would fit best in this offense. The need for o-line depth is critical. I think Clark has the tools to be a solid pass blocker, and I really like the quality of o-linemen Missouri has produced in recent years. In the later rounds, you look for what guys can do (Reader:plug the middle, Duarte: catch the ball in the redzone) rather than what they can't do (rush the passer, block).

In both drafts I passed on Paxton Lynch. I don't think he'd be any better than Savage would be next year or the year after.

Walter:

I be VERY happy with that.

After yesterdays developments, here is today's mock using Fanspeak rankings:

22:OT JASON SPRIGGS (Goff was on the board in which case I'd really be tempted to take him or trade down and get Spriggs. I hear Denver needs a QB so they might trade)
52:TE HUNTER HENRY
85: C RYAN KELLY

If' you're going to pay a new QB lots of money, you better get him the best protection you can.

22: DT ANDREW BILLINGS BAYLOR

198: FB DEREK WATT

Used Matt Miller board of Bleecher Report:

22: R1P22
WR COREY COLEMAN offensive weapon, creates separation using quickness/route tree, can take cover off defense (note: Doctson on board but don't believe he's there #22).
BAYLOR
52: R2P21
DT VERNON BUTLER athletic enough to work opposite of JJ Watt as RDE & kick inside to NT where he will become starter in due time (don't think he be here either but couldn't resist).
LOUISIANA TECH
85: R3P22
C NICK MARTIN underrated, much aligned with brother Zach (Cowboys) who is smart & plays hard. could be surprise starter
NOTRE DAME
120: R4P21
RB DEVONTAE BOOKER need to improve depth behind Miller, Blue not enough
UTAH
160: R5P20
OT KYLE MURPHY solid, smart developmental prospect that could take over RT duties & kick Newton to LG
STANFORD
167: R5P27
S K.J. DILLON hard to identify but must position to address. would have liked one earlier but KJ has size & physical nature to hold up next level
WEST VIRGINIA
196: R6P20
DT D.J. READER hard to read but what an imposing talent who Crennel could plug in nose, country strong with sand in his pants

I wasn't planning on taking 3 O-linemen but the value for Beavers was to great to pass on. If Rick Smith did this well I'd have a stroke.

Best pure nose tackle in draft. Wilfork/Crennel groom for all-pro career.

OT's go early, not deep class. Good developmental swing with starter potential.

Can we all agree Hoyer will be moved? Savage will back-up Brock giving Hackenberg time to refamilarize himself in O'Brian system & develop.
