The reality of Todd Gurley could be out of the reach for the Texans, but the organization “loves” the Georgia running back. Brought in for a pre-draft visit, Gurley has passed the re-check of his injured ACL and has been given the full go to participate in football activities. With everything looking good, Gurley will more than likely end the two-year drought of running backs selected in the first round.

Phillip Dorsett has met with the Texans three times: at the Senior Bowl, at the NFL Combine, and at his pro day. At the beginning of the week, the Texans made a phone call to check on the speedy wide receiver out of Miami. The interest is there and, with many feeling that a selection at 16 could be a potential reach for Dorsett, there is no hiding the organization's interest in him.

One name that has been under the radar is Oklahoma defensive tackle Jordan Phillips. The Texans had the 6'5", 329 lb. nose tackle in for a visit and the defensive staff is especially high on the Oklahoma defender. Considered a second-round prospect, the Texans are very high on Phillips.

Remember: Over last 6 drafts, 32.8% of teams drafted at a different pick 1st round than originally slotted. Expect a lot of movement tonight

Just want to say I'm excited to find out who will be the next Texans. I'm not so much into the draft that I'll get worked up about who we pick or don't pick. For me it's a lot like Christmas. I'm just so happy to be getting something shiny & new that the specifics aren't all that important.

Not hailing from the USA, I'd never heard of "Chi-Town" before, much less knew how it was pronounced. But having just had to do a double take after apparently hearing Roger Goodell say "shite-town is draft town", I can safely say that whoever came up with that nickname didn't think it through properly.

this BADBOY has started!! Neighbor and I were to get a pizza but a motel burned down and closed NASA Road 1. Tuna for me.

Lol

Wife ordered pizza but for some reason called the wrong pizza place and our order was canceled. Ate turkey hot dogs instead. :(

From @mortreport: Zach Mettenberger's agent "wants him traded" if #Titans draft (and keep) Marcus Mariota.

He has 0 leverage..might as well settle his client in and wait for the inevitable scrutinization he'll recieve every time he makes a mistake...That'll get him traded/released faster than bitching about it will.

I like the qb's going 1&2

better chance that a better player avail for us

Hopefully there's a run on Punters.

Yeah and I have to think there will also be a team that'll reach and get a good player within reach for the texans.

At least y'all can watch it live. I'm sitting on a barge just offshore Port Angeles Washington and I have to follow on ESPN draft tracker.

I really like Cooper. But the Raiders should have taken Williams. The Jags should have, as well.
