Have to agree with you there. If you are't going to trust Lacy with 2 4th and nothing goal-line situations, then you aren't giving a great message to your team.

Early in the 1st is the best time to be taking one of those risks.

I agree they need to cut out the silly penalties - but looking mostly at results, rather than performance they've not done badly, considering that they have faced 3 GB drives starting within the Seattle 33 yard line.

Seattle turnovers have directly accounted for 6 GB points and -3 SEA points.

Both defenses look awesome but GB offense has been able to cope while SEA is just completely over matched. The turnovers are killing them.

To go back to a conversation earlier - McCarthy doesn't trust Lacy in a 4th and 1. Carroll trusts his special teams with a game saving fake FG. That's the difference.

You could call it a desperate move from Carroll - but with the potential of it still being a 3 score game if they didn't make it, it is exactly the kind of trust in his players that gets them to play so hard for him.
