Every season since 2002 (maybe further back but I only went back to when the Texans started) there have been 4 or more teams make the playoffs that didn't the previous year.
Example - last season (2013) Philly, Carolina, Saints, KC and San Diego are the 5 teams that made the playoffs that weren't in the tourney in 2012. And with the exception of 2012 where 4 different teams made it that didn't in 2011, every season has been 5 or more different teams from the previous season.
The 2013 playoff teams:
NFC - Eagles, Packers, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks, 49ers
AFC - Patriots, Bengals, Colts, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers
If the trend continues, what 4 or more teams make the playoffs this season that didn't last year, and what 4 or more teams do they replace?
