Well, it looks like we've got a good selection of qbs to choose from if we go in that direction. At least 3 I'd be happy with as developmental projects.

With the QBs on the board, as you say there are a handful of guys at a similar level, wih pretty skmilar skillsets on the board. I really wouldn't be surprised if they delay a QB pick (assuming we are even plannkng on taking one) for another round.
 
I would love to know if Savage was the guy they were wanting all along. Should be a pick that most people here can get behind. Fits BOBs QB 'type' pretty nicely.
 
Savage is a good developmental project, but he'll be 3rd string this year. Which means Yates is gone.

I am with you there. I thnk anyone who was expecting someone to battle for a starting role at this point in the draft was likely being too hopeful.

Now we can have Savage settle into Houston, relax without a high pick burden on him and see what BOB can teach him to do with his considerable physical skills.

I'll be very surprised if there are many really upset with this.

OB loved him at his pro day. Was one of the first ones, so didn't get much play when I posted it. DraftTwitter hates Savage -- OB sees fixable flaws & necessary traits.

Until I've learned otherwise, I will continue to trust the new head coach and his decisions.
 
5 more picks. wonder if we use a couple to trade up or sit tight. I think I would sit tight and let this draft come to me with So much talent left.
 
I don't think we need more picks in this draft. We still have a lot left.

I'd take a 5th or 6th next year though.

Only 6-1, 6-5 and 7-1 are tradeable picks. The Comp picks ( 6-35 and 7-41) can't be traded.

Right now I'd let the draft come to us. Most teams are reaching to an extraordinary degree. Let them.

I know that still leaves three picks to trade up. I would stay put too.
