2012 NFL Draft Day 1: Round 1

I think Tannehill will be pretty good in the pros. Only problem is that Mike Sherman will keep the training wheels on for a while.

I'm going to make another bold prediction, if Floyd falls to 13 the Texans trade up with the Cards to select him. Remember the Cardinals are in bad shape and have no 2nd round pick

I don't know why some people keep thinking this. Tannehill will get a year or two as a backup to learn under Sherman and their QB coach, both of whom have a history of successfully grooming QBs.

Sherman knows what Tannehill is. If he didn't have the goods, they wouldn't have drafted him.

Tannehill might be great, but that franchise could hamstring him.

When it's all said and done though, he'll wind up being a mediocore qb.....no better than anyone they've had the last 10 years since Marino left.

What would be the cost? I think we'd lose our 2nd rounder and a 4th...or even a 3rd instead of 4th.

I think jumping 13 spots would be costly if the Cards are that strapped for needs.

It's live on NFL.com but I don't know if that's the actual NFL Network feed or not. It was kind of boring...lots of talk about fantasy football. I think it's a live broadcast specifically for NFL.com
 
Charlie Casserly would do some awesome picking in this sort of draft. I mean, he would be a legend tonight if he was a GM somewhere.

He'd be straight money. LOL.

I think Poe is the next Vernon Gholston. Lots of eye popping numbers at the combine, great physical tools, but doesn't have the drive. Wouldn't be surprised if he's with another team in 3 years.
 
Floyd is the only player in the draft I'd want the Texans to trade up for and would help set up our offense for awhile *as long as the QB situation is secure* otherwise I'd want to move back into the 2nd/3rd since theres a plethora of players that fit the Texans Defense and OLine needs there.
