2009 NFL Draft Thread

IMO, the new group in Denver are screwing the pooch big time in this draft and now next years to.
 
lol denver are awful (smith is a decent pick in the 2nd but for a future first!). mcdaniels is a clown

i wanted everette at 15 so guess what im dreaming about at 47 lol

They still have their original 2nd. It's a '10 1st for Seahawk's '09 2nd. A high second this year for probably a low first(chicago is going to be real good next year) next year and they drafted a 1st round talent CB. Seems like a real good trade to me.

They still have another 1st round pick next year though. I wonder if they gave up their 1st or if they gave up the one they got from Chicago.

That's about the price for this move. Smith seemed to be a late 1st/early 2nd rounder so getting that a year in advance is the price. I do agree though, McDaniels is off to a really rough start in Denver- lots of fans hate him after the Cutler ordeal... I figure more are upset with the draft. Moreno is great but the fans ademantly did not want an early RB. They're like us and wanted to go defense defense defense.
 
I brought this up last year.


Schaub in shotgun with Pat White to his left and Slaton to his right. AJ Kevin Walter and OD and Maybe AD in the slot. It would open up the offense a little. A pipe dream I know..but it beats Jacoby running wildcat.
 
Everette Brown is falling for a reason. I hope we stay away from him unless he is there in the 3rd.

Im not a big Maua;uga fan but if he is there at 46 that would be hard to pass up. Im still hoping for Unger, Butler, Casey, Greene, Moore, Levitri in the second.
 
LOL, Jacksonville is loading up on Offensive Line. The just picked up Eben Britton to tag along with Eugene Monroe + they got Tra Thomas in the offseason.

I dont think its funny. I think its exactly what they should of done. I was hoping they went WR in the first.

No I think it's what they need to do too. They had so many injuries last year, it's just kind of funny to me. They're like sh*t!! we gotta get help! and are overloading. Not a bad move by them at all but just made me smile.

if you saw your O-line go down the tubes like they did last year, what would you do?
...not to mention they're facing Mario and Freeney and VandenBosch/Kearsh on a regular basis
 
I'll be happy with Moore, M Johnson, E Brown, Unger.

I'm kind of bummed on the Cushing pick now. Barwin and Sintim are both probably still on the board when we pick. oh well.

Yes but very different reasons. Brown is to stiff to play in coverage and isnt good enough against the run to be anything more than a situational pass rusher.

Rey on the other hand is a starting caliber LB that will have to come off the feild on passing downs maybe.
