With the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans Select:

PERCY HARVIN WR FLORIDA

This is a real steal for the Texans. We have a National Champ, game-breaking, wildcat-running, versatile wild receiver that will give other teams headaches when they try to game plan us. Our goal this year is to get into the playoffs. Our defense is still maturing and trying a more aggressive style, so I thought we could absolutely dominate other defenses with a highlight making offense. That gives our defense a little while to catch up to our offense that will be sraight up torching fools.

Other options were: Ayers, Delmas, Chung, or Ziggy.

I do not get it. We only have 3 safeties on the roster right now and since he is not a return man it is bad pick.

Alot of people are going to want a safety here, but are going to be excited about Harvin.
He will be a matchup nightmare.

But what about AJ, AD, KW, DA, JJ, and SS? Are there going to be enough catches to go around???

Oh, lord.

Sorry, but that pick absolutely SUCKS! We have much, much bigger needs. ANY of your other options would have been LIGHT YEARS better.

Kevin Walter is a GREAT #2 receiver, a great blocker, route-runner, and has great hands. He's absolutely VITAL to our ZBS run attack as well.

You just drafted a guy who is going to be our #3 receiver AT BEST.

Sorry man. I vehemently disagree with you here. Ugh.

In a word ................ NO!

He's not even a real WR. He's a hybrid WR/RB like Reggie Bush. We have WR's & we have Slaton. No need for him.

I don't mind the pick much. Davis is kind of disappointing, and Harvin will be a better slot than Anderson is. WHile we need saftey help, a 1st round talent there in the middle of the second isnt a bad pick, IMO.

GOTCHA!!! Nobody took my Dirty Sanchez pick seriously so I had to do this. You are all on candid camera!

With the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans Select:

Louis Delmas S Western Michigan

Now this is a steal. We finally have our playmaking safety. This guy reminds me of Bob Sanders and JACKS UP wr over the middle. He is also great in run support. I just can't pass up a guy of the caliber, even with Ayers or Harvin on the board.

BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! There is something wrong with a GM who can't stick with his pick. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I had to do it. Especially since everyone was chastizing me about the right pick.

Someone go check on Diehard in the ICU!!!

I don't think I agree with being able to change picks.

If you pick a guy, you pick a guy. You can't just change it because you don't like the reaction you got.

Now Harvin is going to turn into an all-pro reciever while Delmas is the bust of this draft. Thanks alot!

I can't blame you for doing it. You knew we would give you hell no matter who you took so you threw us for a loop first. I applaud the move because you had me fooled.

It was joke dude. He was my pick the whole time. Just wanted to jack with everyone. Kind of an early April Fool's.

Everyone picked up on the Sanchez joke. I knew I didn't sell it enough. So I had to do it. Sorry guys if I made you that mad. In the end it is only a mock, right?

Don't throw tomatoes please.

What he said.

You picked Harvin, the pick is Harvin.

Nobody has picked yet. Don't be all mad cause of your overreaction.:kingkong: Even though I think it's justified. I know we don't need a wr especially after signing DA. Why would I go Harvin? Tell me.

AND REMEMBER THIS... I was a fan since the days of Matt Stevens.

Nobody knows why you did. :tomato:

Nobody's pissy, relax. I just thought it was a terrible pick - and it was. We can't agree on every pick.

I like that you're having some fun with it - like with the threatened Sanchez pick - it's just that you did this one in a far more "serious" way. I didn't get the joke. I guess that's on me.

I think we need a ruling.

In the future, you should probably clear something like this with the mod so he knows it's not your real pick.

But... if whoever's after you had jumped on the pick and picked immediately, it could end up bad.

I welcome the Harvin joke...this thread slows down way to much after the 1st round. Guess next time we do this we should assign multiple teams to only a handful of members so we can do this at a faster pace. I hate having to wait on the Jags...they got only one pick per round (I think).

:user:

Sorry I wasn't around a couple hours ago.

Unger for the Bills in round 2 is good. I like it. My Crabtree pick is kind of questionable now, but of course TO will only be around for 1 maybe 2 years in Buffalo.

The pick is Delmas. Harvin was a joke, to some a lame joke, but I do not want it to wreck our draft board due to this prank. I know some think it should stay Harvin, but we will create a rule to correct this in the future.

From here on, you cannot change your pick. Like poker chips, if you put them down, you cannot pick them back up.

I was here the whole time and even pm'd someone to let them know about it. Especially after the reaction... Man, it was worth it.

Well with the joke pick he really got the thread moving. It was getting really slow there for a while and now all of a sudden it's booming.
