Maybin at 47? VALUE pick right there.

If this happened for real we would hear a big shitting noise coming from the north. That would be all of Green Bay shitting themselves.

Actually, 41, right? Not that it makes much of a difference. I haven't seen a mock where he's gone later than about 26 prior to this.

I think if Maybin doesn't have a much better pro day ... he won't go this high . Barwin , Sintin , English , and Johnson are all bigger , faster , and stronger .

Only if Green Bay couldv'e gotten BJ Raji or Ron Brace. That way they could have a legit NT and with Kampan, Hawk, and Maybin at LB and Jackson at DE...thats one sick 3-4 D they wouldv'e got there. :d:

I could probably still hit a good NT in the 3rd round but I may not get good value there so I might go somewhere else.

If this mock was longer than three rounds then I would definitely come out of it with a DT somewhere, most likely in the 4th or 5th.

We could get to the 4th or 5th round if people pick faster, or send me a list.

That would be cool but I think we would lose a lot of interest.

Just look at how much things have slowed down from the first round to the second. It will slow down even more in the third and after that you would probably have to be making all but 5-10 picks because people wouldn't get their picks in on time.

I really shouldn't be spending this much time drafting either. I just wish we could get to 46 though, come on!!

It is so aggravating. Why do people volunteer and then not participate. It makes no sense.

I'm all for it but the problem is after the 1st things slow down. I guess other ppl don't have as much time on there hands like I do...lol

It slows down because people aren't as interested after the first round.

And some others may not know who the good prospects are outside the top 35-40 or whatever so they take up their entire time slot or more trying to decide who to take.

You can tell we have a good dedicated group here because of how fast the first round went by.

But only a handful of people are going to be able to get into the 4th and 5th rounds and not make ridiculous picks because it's not rational to expect that everyone in this draft has a knowledge of that many players.

It makes as much sense as people consistently whining about folks not making their pircks when there is a process in place to make the pick should that person be out of pocket.

That's exactly my point. If you can't be here then just pm your picks to super mario. It's not that hard.

You might want to PM your top 2 to Super Mario just in case...

But it looks like the clock has pretty much run out on TexasSeminole for the Bills pick.

I would if I had a top 2, I am so unsure of direction it is not even funny.

Well I don't think Super Mario is on right now.

Would everyone be okay with me making the pick for the Bills?

Go ahead and throw out some names for me and I will pick if that is alright with everyone.

If I have complained to often about the lack of participation then I am sorry. I am not trying to offend anybody or piss off other members. If I have "whined consistenly", which IMO I have not, that was not my intention. I am only throwing my opinion out there on the situation.

If it has gotten to that point then I will just keep my mouth shut whenever the subject is brought up in the future. Everybody knows my opinion on it now so I'll just stay out of that conversation in the future.

The Bills took Michael Crabtree at #11 in the 1st round.

To me, their top needs are:
TE
DE
OG/C

They need a DE or an OG so Ayers, Sidbury, or Hunt (UoH) would make sense at DE and at OG Kraig Urbik, Andy Levitre, and or Trevor Canfield are good options at guard.

Well the clock has run out on the Bills pick. Super Mario is not on the board at this moment and hardly anybody has given me any input into the pick so I will just make it now so that we can put Specnatz on the clock.

With the 42nd overall selection in the 2009 NFL Mock Draft the Buffalo Bills select:

Max Unger - C, Oregon

max-unger-ol-oregon-150x150.jpg

Unger has amazing versatility for an offensive lineman and can play multiple positions. With the release of Dockery, the Bills can plug Unger in at either center or guard.

He was also the second highest rated player still on my board.

A good pick. I was about to say either Ayers, Kruger, or Unger.

The other finalists for the selection here were:

Kruger, DE - would have been a good selection and filled a need but Unger was rated higher by me
Ayers, DE - " (same as Kruger)
Jamon Meredith, OT - wasn't really a need and Unger was rated higher by me
Jared Cook, TE - a reach here

I picked for the Bills in the first mock - I would have said Unger or Ayers, so good pick!

Thank you. But I will still defer to Super Mario to change the selection if he wishes if he gets back on before Specnatz has made his pick.

This is still his show and he has run it very effectively.

This is an extremely hard pick because the 49ers have so many needs.

J Staley gave up 8.5 sacks last year
W Harris is 35
and like the Texans safety play is a freaking joke.

Not to mention they just re-did the contract of QB Smith.

Pick will be up shortly.

Staley can only get better, Chung would be awesome pick and I think Delmas is still on the board. Good CBs still avaiable IMO.

Just my thoughts...

Niners could use an upgrade at OT opposite Staley. Jamon Meredith would be a good pick.

Percy Harvin is still the top player on the board. We can't rule that one out.

Louis Delmas is the second rated player available on my board and he may fill a need.

Or they could go with Josh Freeman and cut either Hill or O'Sullivan.

He has options. The hard part isn't finding a good player to take, it's cutting the list down from X to 1.

O'Sullivan is no longer on the team I have found 3 sites that say Jennings is no longer on the team but NFL.com and espin do not.

With Smith redoing his contract, 2nd round is to early for a QB with all the teams needs.

I had been debating either Chung, Loadholt or Meredith or Coye Francies.

With the team giving up 55 sacks last year, line and poor QB play I can not ignore the line.

So with the 43rd pick of the NFL draft the San Francisco 49ers draft

Jamon Meredith 6-4.5, 304 5.04 South Carolina (OL)

Don't let us down, you did good in the 1st round. If he's still available take Patrick Chung.:shades:

Listen, I am the Texans GM and I take who I want. PERIOD. If I want a kicker, I take a kicker. If I want to take best Kracka available then I can pick Kruger. If I want a hard-hitting, versatile Oriental Safety then I pick Chung.

Just keep the faith.

Your GM

I'm surprised this guy isn't pumping gas for a living like everyone else that goes to SC.

Great pick for the Bills. Thanks for stepping up bah007. Anytime I am not around feel free to discuss and pick for someone who's clock has run out.

I'm on top of it now.

About the WR recruit that spurned Tennessee for South Carolina I believe?

Yes, that would be it.

While I have addressed needs and got very good players my draft just does not have that WOW factor and I will get roasted by the media in SF.

Next three.

45.) New York Giants(f/NO) Select: Lork 88

46.)
Houston Texans Select: Shaft75

47.) New England Patriots Select: rmartin65

Analysis be damned?...

Nice pick though. I really like your draft so far (Butler and Robiskie).

I think this is a Parcell's type player . Big strong WR who's dad is Terry Robiskie is an explayer and a coach . I think he's the most NFL ready WR in the draft as far as routes go . If he was gone I'd probably would have bit the bullett and took the Gator WR/RB . LZ had him going to the Dolphins in the 1st . KT got Butler for the Titans in the 2nd so take it with a grain .

From Waller Football

Buffalo Bills
Offseason Needs:

1. Defensive End: Defensive end is an obvious need when your stop unit finishes the season with 24 sacks. No Buffalo player had more than four. Aaron Schobel will be back next year, but the Bills need another pass-rusher across from him. Brian Orakpo seems like the most logical choice at No. 11.

2. Center: Duke Preston and Melvin Fowler, both free agents, need to be upgraded. The Bills will take a center in Rounds 2 or 3. Signed Geoff Hangartner

3. Defensive Tackle: The oft-injured John McCargo is a bust. The Bills need to find another defensive tackle to go along with Marcus Stroud.

4. Left Guard: With Derrick Dockery gone, the Bills will need to find yet another interior lineman.

5. Left Tackle: Exhibit A as to why the Pro Bowl is a joke. How in the world did Jason Peters make the Pro Bowl? Despite playing just 13 games, he surrendered more sacks than any left tackle in the league (11.5) and he was also whistled for eight penalties!

6. Tight End: The Bills have needed a reliable pass-catching tight end for years. Luckily, there will be a number of them available in the second and third rounds of the 2009 NFL Draft.

7. Outside Linebacker: Free agent Angelo Crowell is talented, but has chronic knee problems. The Bills really can't depend on him anymore.

8. Fullback: Fullback is never a huge need, but the Bills could use an upgrade here. Re-signed Corey McIntyre

9. Backup Quarterback: The Bills need someone more reliable than the skittish J.P. Zohan as their backup quarterback. Signed Ryan Fitzpatrick

Unger is still available right? As is Ayers. Jared Cook the TE did pretty well in the combine. All would be good picks imo

Aww Super Mario, you really do care!!! I was at class, here's the pick:

With the 45th pick in the TexansTalk Mock Draft, the G-Men select: JARED COOK, TE, SOUTH CAROLINA

There's really not too much the Ginats need, so this is a combination of a luxury/BPA pick. Kevin Boss is good, but adding another dynamic receiving threat like Jared Cook would help the entire passing game. It would put less pressure on Heyward-Bey and create mismatches. You're welcome Eli . . .
