2007 NFL Draft Day One Thread

A ho-hum boring day for Texan fans. This is a good thing...right.

No where near the crying, biatching, moaning and hammering by the media like last year...

Enough time between picks to help my son remove the gas tank from his malibu, change the elec fuel pump, and put it all back together and running again....

Kinda pizzed that Miami took L. Booker just before our third round pick. I sure wanted Booker on our team.

I think our Coach and FO will find a few diamonds in the rough tomorrow.

Any sleeper RB's out there. How about R Taylor, are his 'issues' to much to overcome?

Yes KT ... I know we also need DB's...:D

Suprised that Quinn fell so far, maybe not as good as I thought, we'll see.

:coffee:

I was pulling for Daymien Hughes to drop just a little further, but the colts took him. Good fit for their D to.

The way i see it we really just have an issue with one safety. we're starting two SS, and i think brown and earl would be somewhat average SS if they were paired with a true FS, but alas, all they have is each other :gun:

I guess take a S in the 4th, or if theres not one worth the pick just go BPA.

I agree that our defensive secondardy needs help, but I also agree that a improved defensive line will take some the pressure off the secondary.

But most of all I agree with those that keep saying you can't plug all the holes in one draft. There's always tomorrow, and who knows, sometimes you can actually pick up some talent in the 4th round. Probably not anyone that will start, but at least add a bit of debth to the team, which we sadly lack.

I also feel that improving our offense will help our D because they won't be on the field as much.

Draft note: USC does not have a first round pick in the draft for first time since 2002

Kastafnova (sp) just threw his tv out the window.
not quite. ;)

i gotta admit my first reaction was shock. but not anger. i like ginn. my first logical thought was that Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller spent more time with Quinn than any other team this offseason, so they did their research. we also spent more time with Ginn than any other team. ;)

and John Beck has franchise QB written all over him.

Glad to have ya back around. Glad you found that quote. Ginn is still injured and my not be ready by springtraining. That is what is so shocking.

:fans:

he won't be in training camp becuase they don't want to risk anything. ginn himself said if there were a game tomorrow he'd be playing.
