2006 Texan FA

THEFUTURE

Rookie
these contracts expire at the end of this season, according to houstonprofootball.com...
David Carr, Kailee Wong, Corey Bradford, Chester Pitts, DaShon Polk, Jarrod Baxter, Milford Brown,Troy Evans, Jonathan Wells, Zeke Moreno, Corey Sears, Antwan Peek, Seth Wand, Dave Ragone, Ramon Walker, Domanick Davis, Jason Bell, Frank Chamberlin, Reggie Swinton, Quincy Monk, Matt Murphy,Daleroy Stewart, Derick Armstrong, Preston Parsons, Chad Beasley, Tyreo Harrison, Garrick Jones, J.J. Moses, Shantee Orr, Bryan Pittman, Jason Anderson, Jason Davis, D.D. Acholonu, Anthony Dunn, Brandon Evans, Casey Knutson, Adam Matthews, Nick Narcisse, Allen Suber, Sloan Thomas.. David Carr is in his option year, if he excercises it, he is good til 2008. Some of these guys will be cut, but even after cuts, there is still a good amount of quality players that we are going to have to resign next year.. I'm curious to see who people want to see brought back next year, yeah its early.. but im bored :fishing: .

This'll be fun to watch.

If we get the six starters back it won't be that had. Carr, Wong, Peek and Pitts are the only four out of six starter who will be needed back. Since Wand will be replaced if there will most likely be a good LT avalible in the draft and Bradford will be replaced by Mathis or a FA.

This isn't going to be as hard as it looks. The majority of those players fall into the "not too hard to replace" if they leave and "not too expensive" if they stay catagory.

Based on the current trend, some of those players might not even make the squad this year. So the list should be trimmed after camp.

David Carr, Kailee Wong, Chester Pitts, Jarrod Baxter, Milford Brown, Zeke Moreno (depends on how well he does),Antwan Peek, Seth Wand, Dave Ragone, Ramon Walker, Domanick Davis, Derick Armstrong.. these are the players that i think we look for to return next year, Dave Ragone might look around, might want to at least be looked at as a potential starter or a 2nd stringer. I think we keep Seth, even if we look into another LT, depth never hurt

actually is 40 of the 73 that we currently have under contract... but more then a dozen of those guys wont make it through training camp, so the organization just gives them the one year, and if they do. maybe a renogotiation, or they just keep the player for that year, but in no means does this totally kill our team, by the time next year rolls around, this number of players will be shorter, remember kris brown was part of that list until recently, the texans just gave him his extension... look for some others to be given the same. and david to excersize his option

also we havent signed any of our rookies yet either, so they will be additions too.. we are in no means in a state of panic

Is it an automatic that Wong will return? Some say moving back to inside will help, but I've heard some complaints of not living up to his rep last 2 years. Seems like recent moves have eliminated older players with larger contracts. I agree that majority of team to look same in 06. Barring injuries and any free agent pickups or trades like Buchannan(sp) I think first 2 picks in draft should be oline and dline. Remainder look pretty good with some quality at back up. TE remains a ? but I am not big proponent for that spot any who. 2006 suppose to be deep for O tackles I understand.

From what I understand the Coaches are very fond of Wong. I don't see him going away.

Nick Narcisse and Tyreo Harrison are FA? Noooooooo. The Texans will never make the Super Bowl now. :brickwall :crying:
