Any situation in which we get either Ferguson, Winston, Scott, Ahmad Brooks, Mathias Kiwanuka, or Wright would be great...

If we're picking in the 20's, which I hope we will, I wouldn't mind taking a look at a guy like Devin Hester, Laurence Maroney, Degory, or Haloti Ngata...

I wouldn't say that D'Brick is grossly overrated, but I'll agree that he is overrated to an extent...The main reason that people are rating him as the top OT in this draft is that he would've probably been the top rated OT in the 2005 draft had he come out...The main thing that he has to prove to solidify him as the top OT is that he can keep weight on him...Various sources claim that he'll start a season out at around 300, then finish the season around 270...If this happens this year, he could easily slip behind Winston, Scott, and possibly McNeill...I wouldn't complain one bit if he happened to fall into our laps, though...
 
This is JMO... but i think it depends on the season that Wand has this year to if we draft one of those LT or not. If Wand proves he can stop the Freeney's of the world then i would love for us to go and pick up a Huff or a Hester. I am just wonder who next years cap casualties are and whose contracts are up at the end of the season. This also weighs in heavily before i go out on a limb and say who i think the Texans will take.
 
Completely agreed, Royce! (I was just about to post what you wrote).

I'm hoping WAND is the answer (way too early to tell...we'll know more in October/November). And if so...then perhaps we can simply take bpa (as we should be somewhere in the 20's for the draft).

Can't wait for the season! :drool:

I was just really let down when I watched him games last year. Especially in Virginia's bowl game against Fresno when I saw him get used by 3 different players.

I just didn't see the domination that I saw with players like Gallery. But maybe that's unfair to compare him to someone like Gallery
 
Unless a trade happens or our OL becomes miraculously great we are drafting a LT next year even if it means this ultra-conservative front office has to move up. There is no way they can continue to let Carr get killed.
