2002 Draft Steal

I was looking at some of the past drafts, and I got to the 7th Round of the 2002 NFL Draft. There was the usual sort of no name players, but I found there were a few that turned out to be pretty good. So I started wondering who was the steal of the 2002 7th Round draft? Some notables from that 7th Round were:

233 Tim Wansley CB to Tampa Bay Bucs
240 Carlos Hall DE to Tennesse Titans
253 David Givens WR to New England Patriots
257 Rock Cartwright FB to Washington Redskins

My pick for steal of the 7th Round has to be David Givens. He's been fairly productive for the SB Champs.

As far as steal of the draft I'll let a little of 'homerism' show, and say Demarcus Faggins was the steal of the draft. The guy has been great for us, and I hope he is even better this coming season.

What do you guys think? Who was the steal of the 7th Round, or the whole draft overall?

Meanwhile you look at the Brown's 1st round picks from 1999-2001:

1999 - 1st (1st overall) QB Tim Couch - backing up Brett Favre on the Packers

2000 - 1st (1st overall) DE Courtney Brown - has the physical skills but seems more interested in other things and shows no desire to change his ways. May be cut after this season

2001 - 1st (3rd overall) DT Gerard Warren - has been a disappointment to date. Very intelligent and has all of the tool to succeed but is extremely inconsistent. Has looked good during training camp this season. If he doesn't cut it this season he may be gone along with Brown.

Nice huh?
