I apologize for the delay.....life and work has been busy.

Status

Managers, if you aren't able to play this season, please email me at rockets34life at gmail dot com. You have until 8/29 11:59pm CST to let me know if you can't play. After that, your spot in the league is locked.

League Change -

I have reduced the bench spots from 8 to 6. That will allocate for more free agents in the waiver wire as the season progresses.

Participation -

Last season, there were a few teams that didn't do much and left majority of the time the same lineups. This has been a competitive league for a long time and I would like to have 10 solid managers battling it out.

By end of season, if there are managers still showing lack of participation, they will be removed before the next season starts.

I got the email and I'm in. I started out badly last year and picked up steam and ended up in 3rd place. So, I'll give it another go. I'm not wild about individual D players at all...but at least I'm a little more ready for it this year. Last year I found out when I entered the draft! Quite the surprise.

No worries. The IDPs kind of help if you're in a close battle with someone and put you over the edge for the win. :)

Still not a fan for various reasons, but I managed a decent season despite it! I did also just see your mea culpa about the day/time. No worries man. I'll be there Sunday night unless something happens and I'm tied up. Right now...nothing major scheduled for Sun night. Have a good one!
 
There's one league I've been in for about 15 years or so where you have to choose IDP for an entire defense -- 2 corners, 2 safeties, 3 LBs, 2 DEs, and 2 DTs, and a general DP.

The guy who set it up is a HS FB coach (and powerlifter) in the Oakland area. And the league is composed of mostly old powerlifters.

This year, I couldn't be online while they were drafting and the Autodraft gave me a single QB. And that QB is Deshaun Watson. I'm not taking that well.

The way the points are set up in that league, the best strategy is to hoard QBs. I normally try to get at least two starting level QBs and one second or third tier one because you get an Offensive Player position and with QBs regularly scoring 1.5-2x the points of other players, having 2 QBs starting is a good strategy to win some games. The best options on the line right now are Russ Wilson and Geno Smith.

The RaidersSuck team nabbed Geno Smith, so I picked up Russell Wilson. I'll be keeping my eyes out for any of the young guys and backups to see if they start to show some life.

Not much (as in none) chatter in here about this league since we all drafted in early September.

But just to recap it, I am dismantling the Bobcats this week, while Lucky appears to be taking the reins vs. HouTexan4Life - eliminating those two from the final four.

Lucky and I will be added to the two top finishers who had a bye week (Duece's and Liquor Pigs) for the final 4 teams standing.

I'm not sure who will play who. But one of us will still be standing in two weeks and crowned champion. The others will be crying in the locker room.
