For many people, the second 1000 posts go a lot faster than the first 1000. I would not be surprised if that is the case with you.
 
I believe at 1,000 posts you are required to purchase a 6 pack for everyone who has more than you. Sort of a "Welcome to the Show" rookie hazing.

I'm a Texan stuck in New Mexico, thats who. Thanks everybody for the congrats. Hopefully, I can add a few posts this Sunday evening about how impressed I was by the ability of the Texans to bounce back on the road against a good team. A man can dream, right?
 
I've been here since '04, and my posts count is even less, now, if I can only keep responding to these threads, I can crack that 1k number!! :)
 
I often wonder what mine would be if I brought over the years of posting on the original message board. At the time I signed up here, I just did not care.
