Yes. Marc Vandermeer talked about that before he spoke. How after his first year speech, everyone left that room wanting to run through a brick wall for him.

I'll see what the Texans post about the luncheon. I shot some video--if they don't post some of the cool parts of the speeches, I will do a blog post with it.

Kubiak said that it has been misreported that he persuaded Alex Gibbs and Ray Rhodes to come to Houston.

That both Gibbs and Rhodes asked to come here because they were excited about what they were seeing in Houston. They wanted to be a part of it.

Put that in your things that are cool list.

Dang, I almost wish I hadn't learned that.
I've had this thought of Gibbs as this O-Line guru being pursued by most of the NFL teams to come out of seclusion and help lead them to victory.
Now I have an image of the old-timer, retired in AZ but calling a younger, former associate to plead for one more shot at the big-time.

There will be a Pigskin and Pancakes breakfast (great event!) and rookie a luncheon which we use to attend but they priced us out. I think last year it was $175.00 per plate or $1500.00 a table. Charity is charity but if I am going to try to get a table for the rookie breakfast, I am going to need some help from a charity.

I THINK the team luncheon priced us out, but the rookie breakfast is still affordable :)
 
looks to be WAYYYYY out of my price range. I can't see spending 175 dollars on a meal. I can buy grocerys for a month or so with that.
 
Last year the prices were $800 & $600 a table for the rookie breakfast. The $800 table had the opportunity to have a rookie sit at your table. The prices may go up this year, though, since they did on everything else....
 
They'd sell more tables if they just hired strippers to sit with you.

"Hey...haven't I given you a dollar somewhere before?"
