Nice list but I would include Cedric Gray, Jalen Wright and Troy Franklin to it off the top of my head.

So far I've enjoyed our draft although I wanted Junior Colson so bad it's heart breaking they didn't apparently value him much. Still quite a few guys out there that I could see doing well for us:
Jordan Magee (LB)
Leonard Taylor III (DT)
Bucky Irving (RB)
Mo Kamara (EDGE)
Johnny Wilson (WR)

Can't wait to see if Caserio has some more magic moves to pull off. Would definitely like to see DT and LB get addressed. Slot receiver could still be an interesting pickup too. RB depth and development is needed imo and that 4th edge for the rotation with Anderson, Hunter, and Barnett has an opening there too.

Day two did not have the fireworks we’ve come to expect from a Caserio draft. “Only” one trade.

But the team stuck to their board and did not reach for a position of need. Every player was taken about where they should have been. They got high upside young players with a track record of success.

I expect that trend to continue today. I still have LB, RB, DT and TE on my wish list along with another edge. But I don’t want them forcing a pick for need instead of BPA. Get someone talented enough to make this team. Caserio has shown that if there’s a glaring need on the roster it will be addressed. Just bring in the most talented players you can on rookie contracts.

Didn’t Nick say in an interview that most of the picks this year won’t be starting? Or maybe I’m misremembering something.
No, you’re not misremembering. He basically announced it would be a future depth draft when he said they could put a team together ready to go before the draft. He’s not reaching for need because he doesn’t think he has any real needs.

Remind me to never listen to Stoots and Landry’s podcast on draft day ever again. I never saw a couple of whiny crybabies in all my life.
I still don't understand the purpose of mock drafts or the whining that happens on draft days. People spend weeks even months trying to predict the players that will be selected by teams and even though they have no idea what a team is planning, they still get upset when the team doesn't select the players they expected or want the team to draft.

I have tons of player info to trash.. internet files and hard copy..sigh. It all begins again soon as college football around the corner.
On draft day you have trades or unexpected selections and weeks or months of mock drafts are worthless within minutes of the draft. What is the success rate of mock drafts? 30%?

Not only that, but the team has access to so much more info than the fans ever will (medical, interviews, GPS data for their practices and games, etc).

Fans get way too invested in their own options this time of year

Would I be the only person who thinks WR- Johnny Wilson (FL State) could be converted to TE? At 6-6 / 231 pounds and 35 3/8” arms…..he could be a heck of a mismatch and big target for CJ.

I wouldn’t bother converting him, just run him out there as a big slot.

I want a TE who can block and I don’t think that will ever be a part of Wilson’s game

TE’s shouldn’t be expected to lineup like an OT and take on DE’s like that was their only job. I believe TE’s must learn how to deliver a nasty chip as they exit the line and find a soft spot in the defense as well as blocking downfield in the run game.

I've thought about this a lot over the years. There have been some years when I've really tried to familiarize myself with the various players, but I don't really watch college ball, especially since moving to Europe.

For me, that's what it's about. Trying to learn the names and figure out who's good and who's not good.

But the pundits part has never made sense to me. Is the game to pick the best players or to pick who the teams are going to pick? And if the game is to pick who the teams are going to pick, how are THEY wrong when you don't get it right? People talk about this pick or that pick as a reach, but unless you know how all 32 teams have that player graded, you can't know what a reach is. So basically, it's all BS. It's entertainment where some people take themselves way too seriously.

For a fan, if you've got guys you like, that's great. You want to be able to compare "your guys" to the guys that the teams drafted. But you don't really get to judge how you did until their careers are winding down. For pundits having their guys and then talking crap about the front offices of the various teams, that's just kinda silly.

Unless that FO pays a guy over 130 million to play QB and then drafts a guy 8th overall...

I would never want a TE to take on a DE/OLB one on one, but I want one who can combo block and wipe out blitzing LBs and I don’t think Wilson can do that.

Not saying I wouldn’t draft Wilson, just I’d draft him to play WR and not TE. If you want a TE, draft one. Not a fan of position swapping, and yes I know I’ve advocated for making S into LBs
