Houston Texans vs. New Orleans Saints - Gameday Thread 8-16-08

I boldly predict that we will hold on this 3rd and 6.

Edit: Looks like I am wrong. I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
 
The Saints and us played almost identical halves.
Great offenses, horrible defenses.
They moved the ball pretty effortless against us, and we managed the same
 
solid outing overall

D and run game improved some but still has a way to go.. D starts out hot before tiring
 
Our running game has been very poor.
C. Brown: 8 attempts for 19 yards(2.4 ypc)
C. Taylor: 5 attempts for 14 yards(2.8 ypc).

That is not going to cut it.

Well, they had what ... 5 possessions, we had 3? (Not counting the one right before the half when we killed the clock) Unless you want to count Jacoby's Punt Return as a possession for us, then we had 4... but still.
 
I don't see a whole lot different from last week. No run, no pass rush, but throwing and catching well. Oh, and Jacoby screwing up again.

Not seeing any change so far. At least we are supposed to get a glimpse of Brinks tonight. I have no idea of why I want to see that, but for some reason I do.
 
Not a bad first half considering the bad PR. that FG is the difference in the game. Schaub looked great, which is good to see.
 
Anderson has moved up the depth chart pretty quickly to the #4 spot. He was in there and Jacoby was still on the bench during that 3rd down play
 
JJ needs to get his head out of you know where and work...forget H-Town partying..perfect your game! If not, he'll be toast...he can't be turning the ball over all the time....:bat:

I keep hearing how our special teams are so great. when they hit, they appear to hit hard. BUT>>>> my observation is that our opponent makes it to around the 30 yd line consistently, and we make it to the the 20, sometimes just barely.

Are coverage teams are very good, and I doubt andre davis is really trying that hard in the preseason
