In November, my country club out here in Canyon Lake is having a scramble open to non-members. It made me think, why not invite y'all golfers on the message board? If you're interested, just let me know. They'll have a Mens Tournament and a Doubles Tourny as well. It's usually alot of fun.. plus it'd be a way to hang with y'all over here in my neck of the woods..
 
I hadn't played any golf since I was a kid, and played a year ago and was pretty bad man. Otherwise, I might be a little interested.

I'll try and hook up with you on some though fishing man.
 
I live up the road in Austin. Texans fan. Golfin' for 25 years, most of it very poorly. I'm a 14 handicap, and am interested in a tourney for fun. Just let me know when the time comes if the invitation is still there. No hard feelings if you change your mind. (I say lots of crazy dope after mixing Don Julio, Cointreau, and lime juice. I'm kidding.)

What course/club in Canyon Lake? I've played the Bandit, but can't really remember (long time ago) how close that was to CL.

Man I would love to, but I haven't played in a while and right now I can't commit to anything that far away. I just know saying I'll be there at this point could be untrue and unfair if I took a spot. :um:
 
Hey I understand, I know it's a long way off. I just figured I'd put the word out there, that way y'all knew about it.

I'm by far not the best golfer. I've added a few strokes onto my swing since I got my prosthesis. But, I still love to golf. It's all for fun, might make a fun side bet on eachother too. Most of the club is full of drunks, so even if you're not a solid golfer you still have a chance.

My club is in SA, it's the Briggs Ranch. I figured tho, if anyone wanted to do the scramble with me, we could just meet up at my place and I could drive there. That way y'all didn't have to drive anymore than you have to.

All of the tournys are for fun. I personally like the Men's Tourny, Doubles, and the Team tourny. It's only a 50 dollar copay for a team tourny. I can cover that, but we need to have 6 people. Just wanted to see how interested y'all golfers were. If y'all have to commute from Houston, you're more than welcome to stay with us in Canyon Lake over the night. That way you don't have to pay for hotel etc.
 
I played pretty regularly towards the end of my high school years and a little after. One of our group moved away or something and we quit playing. Picked it up again about 6, 7 years ago, but sucked too much to justify the greens fees, and just didn't have the time to work on getting better. Haven't touched a stick since.
