DiapHer's son

He is going to fly to Iowa and show up at her job and stalk her. To bad she works from home and has the shotgun near by just incase he actually does show up. The hogs need to be feed anyway.

Quite enough from the peanut gallery, don't ya think?!?

UPDATE:

Kyle went back to the doctor again this morning and they took more x rays and the bones are still in line but he still has a big bump where the break happened. He was able to get a shorter cast below his elbow..he picked an orange one...I would have chosen RED but our school colors here are orange and black. Good news is that the doctor said only two more weeks instead of 4 more. BAD news he went turkey hunting this weekend and he now has poison oak on his upper chest and leg.(Don't yell at me SheTexan) We are treating it aggressively with Zanfel (poison ivy wash) and prednisone tablets.

Oh My Gosh, A cast in this heat is bad enough, but Poison itchy rash on top of it. . . Poor kid! So sorry! hope he had fun hunting anyway.

Hope that poison ivy didn't get down his cast!

The rash hasn't made it to the cast area YET and hopfully won't, and we are in fantastic Spring weather up here right now...73 degrees and NO humidity!! Hopefully, when the heat hits he will have his cast off and he is doing therapy in our pool in the backyard.

The doctor said only two weeks with this new (hard cast) not sure about having to wear a soft cast after that because my husband took him to the doctor this morning and he tends to leave small details out:gun: but I will ask.

Just don't put any stickers on it..lol.

How cute!!!

Kyle said he wasn't going to let anyone sign this one he wanted to TRY to keep it clean. Thank GAWD they washed his arm and hand before they put the new one on. The lady that cut his old one off told him about a girl that they put a leg cast on and they couldn't get her to come back in..finally after ONE YEAR she came back to get it cut off!!! She went in detail about the smell and growth (things came flying out)when she cut it off!!! ugh

I could have done without that play by play..... Really!

Well, Kyle got his cast off this morning:doot: . The x rays showed it was healing nicely. He does have to wear a soft cast like Bill thought for another two weeks otherwise there is a great risk that he could break it again. He needs to take it off three times a day and exercise the wrist...no more plastic bags and tape at bath time:specnatz: Also, the poison oak is almost gone...for this round anyway!!!

Thank you everyone for staying in contact!!!

Good to hear!

So, Kyle still has an excuse for the girls to carry his books for another 2 weeks? Sweet!

When the soft cast comes off, I'd suggest he NOT celebrate w/ an immediate 4-wheeler excursion...but that's just me. :shades:

Dan, guess what "his" father did for Kyle's birthday last Thursday?:fight:

Took in his 4-wheeler to get fixed that hasn't ran for a year:scarygirl:

We just got the hospital bill the other day...mind you this is ONLY the hospital bill it was over $6,500.00 that isn't the doctor, ER, ect.:shocked

Look on the bright side, it's only a few more months until harvest. At least y'all can have some corn on the cob then. Most importantly, you can make Vodka from corn. :smiliedance:

Holy crap on the bill.

Marcie, I am sorry but I did get a chuckle out of hearing the 4-wheeler being fixed. I can pretty see your reaction to it, coming from the motherly aspect of it. Sounds exactly what my father would have done. If you fall off the horse you have to get right back on it.

I know G'Ma will be upset with me about thinking that the 4-wheelers are ok if done properly and not trying to show off or hotdog it. Take it slow on hills and ditches and things like that, do not take risks. But I do think he needs to get on that thing and at least ride it around the pasture some so as to get over any fear effects of the crash.
