Texans Postcards

Texans_Chick

Utopian Dreamer
Minicamp starts May 9th.

Steve Slaton talks about how excited he is to come to town.

How about sending the new players postcard or letters welcoming them to the team? Doesn't need to say much on them. It means a lot to them to get their first mail as an NFL player. Show them that Texan fans are as fanatic as other fans:

(Player Name)
The Houston Texans
Two Reliant Park
Houston, TX 77054

If you have kids, helping them write postcards to players can help with their writing skills. Writing the players doesn't take much time at all, (it's sort of like posting here), but can make a difference in providing a great first impression of being a Houston Texan and showing them how we have the most welcoming fans in the NFL.

When we all work together as fans, we can make a difference.

To compare him to Reggie Bush is an insult. If this dude's like RB, we are screwed. JMO!!! Kyle Shanahan might not be as astute as some of you seem to think he is. Personally, I think he needed a little more tweeking before becoming OC. BUT, what do I know!! Time will tell.

FWIW, I'm not someone that gets impressed easily, but Shanahan is someone who is very impressive when he talks football. You look at him and see a young guy, but when he speaks you forget about how old he is.

It is fun watching him break down film and explain why certain plays work and certain plays don't. The quarterbacks and wide receivers have had very good things to say about him. With Gibbs and Kubiak on staff, I think the benefit of Shanahan is that he knows the system well and has more experience hands on staff to give him help and support. He's just another person on board that buys into the offensive philosophy. His function on the team to date has been a way for Kubiak to share his point of view with the players, which is the role that Kubiak served for the older Shanahan.

There are some with the Broncos that believe that Shanahan Sr misses the roll that Kubiak played in communicating and humanizing his vision. Hard to say.

Maybe Shanahan is insulting him on purpose to try and fire him up. We will know for sure if he starts saying our QBs are like Ryan Leaf...

If you watch the video of Shanahan talking, it isn't an insult at all. It's mostly a size comparison and talking about where players are usually drafted of different sizes.
