I have a funny feeling that we'll draft Gosder Cherilus at #18, unless one of the other guys slip. The more I read about him, he just seems to be a Gibbs kind of lineman. Although he struggled w/ move to LT, it was his first year and it was also a new system.

Remember Jaamal Brown? Pre-draft all the gurus said he should be a stud RT, not left...pro bowler now.

I think Cherilus has measurables, nasty demeanor and skills to excell in our system. My 2 cents. In the 3rd, I'll go w/ Jason Jones-DE E. Michigan. In the 4th round I like Brandon Carr-CB Grand Valley St. In the 5th round, I'll say Corey Lynch-S Appalachian St. Finally in the 7th rd I'll take Jalen Parmele-RB Toledo.

Any takers?

The person that matches the most number of picks with the TEXANS draft picks is the winner. The tie breaker is the order of the positions selected by the Texans (S,CB,OT).

For example, if you and Kast are the only two to pick 3 draft picks correctly and you list DE as the 1st pick and Kast list DT and the Texans select Jamaal Anderson, DE with the first pick you are the winner.

After you list your 20 picks, list in order of the 7 positions you think the Texans will select. Last year they went 1.DE, 2.LB, 3.OT, 4.OT, 5.TE, 6.RB, 7.WR
.

Er five ?

Several weeks ago I was looking at McGlynn for Center/Guard and back up Tackle. Of course the trade Myers took him off my board but still an interesting player.

1.) Kenny Phillips
2.) Antoine Cason
3.) Jonathan Stewart
4.) Gosder Cherilius
5.) Chris Williams
6.) Rashard Mendenhall
7.) Sam Baker (In the 3rd round)
8.) Charles Godfrey
9.) Matt Forte
10. Tashard Choice
11. Mike Hart
12. Reggie Corner
13. Craig Steltz
14. Antwan Molden
15. Ray Rice
16. Steve Slaton
17.jerrod Mayo
18. Keith Rivers
19. Tony Hills
20. Jeremy Zuttah

I hit on Slaton and Molden....theoreticlaly could still hit on mike hart.

I had Slaton on my list up until a few hours before the draft. I ended up editing him out for Mendenhall because of Lance Z's post about him falling. That would have given me 3.

I only got two of the picks. Certainly should've seen the Slaton pick. As far as Brink & Barber I didn't have a clue about either of them.

Never thought Adidi would slip to us in the 3rd much less the 4th so he wasn't even on my radar.

Got Brown (targeted for trade down) and Molden (3rd rd) only... felt confident in looking at those CB's they looked at for later in the draft- throw a dart and your sure to hit 1!

Slaton kind of surprised me, not that I'm against it at all. With RB/CB expected in the 3rd/4th I didn't think of Okam (awesome we got him for a 5th)

I really thought about listing Barber and especially Alex Brink, but decided against it. total :sarcasm:
