Malcolm Jenkins on staying in school:
"What's important to me is accomplishing more. I want to win the Thorpe. I want to be a first-team All-American," Jenkins said. "I want to win a national championship. I want to experience a senior season. You can't put a price tag on that. To be paid to play football is just a benefit. I'm not ready to transition to the next stage of my life yet."

Jenkins leaving would have certainly pushed another player down to us at 18.

I hope that Laurinaitis declares, just because he'll go before 18.

big shocker with Jenkins staying in school, no doubt.

at least Gholston declaring pushes guys back to Houston. also a possibility for Miami, but i'm doubting it now.

also just found out that Gholston was given a 2nd round grade by the NFL.

simply won't be the case by draft day. can't be.

i remember cromartie got a 4th rd pick grade and still went in the first... they're just a rough guess

I remeber I wanted that guy bad. Work out warrior or not, you can't coach that kind of Athletism. Took him two years to get on line....but the CB problem in 'Deigo is now solved.

pretty easy to see why, he didn't play at all his final year. the committee assumed teams wouldn't look at his ridiculous athleticism.

athletic ability is more important than anything in the NFL draft. period.

you cant blame jenkins second year in a row to the NT with now crystal but this next year they are going to have to go through SC to get there

gholston is also pretty athletic too :) and will likely 1st too because of it.. thats why i mentioned it

did lauranaitis not want to go to NE? i know nothings a sure thing but you had to think he had a serious chance of landing there

Boone is also staying, my dad told me today. I was suprised. We talked with a lot of parents after the game, including an annoyed Joe Lauranitis. A lot of people, including myself, questioned the coaching in that game. Guess everyone felt they had something to prove.

We're only losing 3 players this year.

Looks like that USC/OSU game has OSU/UT implications....

Getting a guy that size annoyed is not a good thing, the Animal could rip some arms off or Bodyslam someone for old times sake.

well that takes away one of the better cornerback prospects in the draft and the fact that A. Cason from Arizona went back that means that the CB position may need to be addressed through Free Agency.:fans:

Cason was a jr last year and stayed his senior season at Arizona. He's a senior this year so will be entering the draft. Mike Jenkins from South Florida is another senior that's a top prospect. Three juniors that declared are Aqib Talib from Kansas, Jack Ikegwuonu from Wisconsin, and Justin King from Penn St. All 5 of these CB's are probably 1st/2nd rd guys with the favorites being Cason, Jenkins, and Talib.

Malcolm from OSU was arguably the top cb of the draft class and def. would have gone before the Texans pick. Him and Lauranitis would have pushed some top talent down some more so unfortunately 2 different guys will be selected instead of them.

King is a scary prospect.

Are you getting the freshman version that was awesome or are you getting last year's version?

He's gotten worse every year that he's been at Penn St.
