San Diego Chargers vs. Indianapolis Colts

uh oh - can't convert. It's Peyton time. Seems Norv didn't have the stones to have a pass play for a first.

Maybe Indy shouldn't have rested their starters during that last game. 3 weeks off is a long time. Kinda ironic how the Colts backups beat them.

I didn't see a hold on the Cromartie run back and Dan Deirdorf is hard to listen to because he makes idiotic statements constantly.

yup, you didn't see one because there wasn't one.

gratz to the Chargers and namely Norv Turner for keeping the kids believing in what they were doing.

Very ballsy performance by SD.

One of my fondest Reliant memories ... when McCree picked off McNair and took that one back 95 or whatever it was for a TD, I was down in the first row aisle between 102 and 101 taking pictures and it all unfolded right in my face. After McNair's diving tackle failed, I just looked up at the crowd and took in the sight and sound of frenzy-ness at its best.

Kudos to Norv & the Bolts. They made the plays when they needed to.

Same thing happened to the Colts that happened to the Texans all year...TURNOVERS will KILL you. Three BIG ones deep in SD territory.

Gotta be happy if you're the Pats - you get a really beat-up team for a cake-walk next week. (anybody wanting to put $$ on SD, plz PM me)

Only if you give me a 50 point spread...

I wish we had him still. Stupid old-Texans regime.

yeah a Chargers team with Volek at QB and LT in street clothes isn't exactly scaring anyone....did enough to beat the Colts though.

Maybe the Colts needed to pipe in some more crowd noise. I could have swore I heard it again today a few times. It seems they mic the crowd and then reproject the sound. It sounded like the crowd noise was coming through a tunnel.

I'll say one thing about Colts fan. They aint embarassed to wear a jersey. I'd say 80% of the people at that game were wearing a Colts jersey. Too bad they can't cheer their team to victory without a mic and amplifier.

it was obvious on some 3rd downs imo

maybe the fans are loud and it's a dome and that has a lot to do with it. duh.

I grew up with the Oilers. I know dome sound. Something smells fishy is all I am saying and they have been caught doing it already and pleaded ignorance.

Another thing you can notice is that their crowd noise goes up and down in volume at a very drastic rate. One second its totally loud and the next second the volume just plummets. Well its a mute point, no pun intended, because the Colts season is over and they won the same amount of championships as the Texans or Dolphins this year.....zero.

...now if someone could just beat Brady, things would be just great. I don't want the Dolphins record to be beat at all but especially by a Boston team. We would all never hear the end of it.

He wasn't good enough for the old Texans "evaluators".............could be why we did so poorly until recently and why the old regimen is now trying to make a living elsewhere.............you think?

Scheme and pass rush are two huge factors in his 'failure' here.

Nobody has looked good behind our front 7 and I am not sure it is a talent issue.

Like I said when the Jags went down, all I wanted was for San Diego to sneak up on Jughead and send him home. This has been a good weekend.

I got most of what I wanted this year.

Texans in the playoffs? Nope, damn!
Titans get beat? Check!
Jaguars get beat? Check!
Colts get beat? Check!

Next year maybe I'll get 4 out of 4 or at least that first, most important one.

You can't have 4 teams in one division in the playoffs...

I imagine you're probably right but can you imagine the weirdness if it did happen somehow? That would be bizarre as all hell.

theres not 'imagine' lol... 1 division champ + 2 afc wildcards = 3

You are of course correct. For some reason I always have a hard time with the idea that there are now 4 division champions instead of 3. I still think sometimes in terms of AFC East, AFC West and AFC Central.

I wonder. Was it "protection problems"?
