Scroll down a bit and click on the link to the old Oilers Fight Song to take a stroll down memory lane!!!

It's not the entire fight song...but it's a big chunk of it.
I had to listen to it twice.

I could almost taste the Hot Smokey and Popcorn!

LUV YA BLUE!!!

Don't the Dophins have a song that's very similar to that one? I could have sworn I heard it when they beat the Ravens this year and they went to interview some players.

wearing a columbia blue t-shirt, shaking one of those blue and white pom poms and reveling in the fact that my team was embarrasing the Raiders in dome sweet dome...

It was our song first and they stole it. Thats why we kick there ass everytime they come to town. And will continue to kick there ass until they admit we were first.

um, at the dolphins web site, they took our song and put theyre name in, i sent them a nasty email

The Oilers were truly my first love. I miss that team so much. I loved the atmosphere at the Dome, our Columbia blue unis, fight song, just everything about them.

We have the Texans now and finally this year I started to feel the same tug on the heartstrings that the Oilers had on me. I just wish we were allowed to keep the Oilers name, history, and uniforms and logo.

The few Oilers items that I still have are treasured keepsakes.

Somewhere in my 'stuff' I have an entire album with nothing but Oiler songs on it. "Oiler Cannonball" and the fight song, about 8 other songs. I'm gonna have to search around for it. I'm sure it's unplayable, but I'll never part with it. On the cover is a shot taken from one of the post-Pittsburgh pep rally's.

for the record, Miami has a 17-16 record historically against Oilers/Titans/Texans. ;)

Take out the Oilers/Titans record v. Miami and....

Just for the record the Houston Texans 3-0 v. Miami. :tease:

******************************

I'd be curious what the split between Houston Oilers and Texans (leaving tennessee completely out) v. Miami...

Sweet, all I have are the 45s. Oiler Cannonball, Superbowl Itch (Country on one side, disco version on the other), Fight Song, Big Bad Earl, Tyler Rose of Houston, Oilers Polka, Kick that S.O.B in!, gosh I can't remember the other ones now.

I haven't (really) lived in or around Houston since the Texans had life breathed in them.

Planning to move back to the Houston area after this school year is up and hopefully, I'll be able to get the "Texans Bug" and love them as much as I loved the Oilers.

To tell you guys the truth...
I've made so many of the guys on this board angry at one point or another, I'm kinda worried about what would happen if I strolled up to some of them when they're in a drunken stupor.
LOL

Welcome home, man!

And you're always welcomed to stop by our tailgate. I don't drink, so no worries there. :howdy:

Son of a gun I found it! My Houston Oilers #1 album. If any one wants to try and track one down it was produced by Bellaire Records. LOL, it says 'also available on 8 track and cassette.' It was printed 4 times, '76, '78, '79, '80.

14. Hell'o Snake - Welcome To Luv Ya Blue! - John A. Norman III (no typo in the title)
15. I'm Sorry Blue - Debbie Reeves

Bellaire Records
P.O. Box 1200
Bellaire, Tx 77401 (good luck with that)

I found this at Half Priced Books here in Austin believe it or not. I paid a dollar for it. In August of '01 according to my receipt. If you are ever in HPB (there's a few in Houston) or a store that also has used LP's, thats probably where you will find one. I'll have to admit I haven't heard most of what's on here. Anybody have a working turn table??

The album itself looks to be in remarkable shape. No visible scratches at all, however, even though it appears flat, it just has to be warped. Just a guess.
