Notre Dame at Michigan

With all the 0-2 jokes aside...

Does anybody know why Chad Henne is not playing?

And I think Michigan wins, but will be pulling for ND. I would rather see Mich. go 0-3

I cant stand ND so I'm hoping that Michigan blows them out actually.

It looked like Henne may have injured his midsection or leg late in the 1st half against Oregon.

My friend goes to Michigan & he has heard that Henne could have played in the 2nd half, but Carr held him out because he felt the game was already out of reach & there was no reason to risk it.

He also said that Mallett is gonna start against Notre Dame because Carr wants to get him some game experience & he thinks that Michigan can still win without Henne. Henne may actually get in the game if Mallett stinks the place up.

I know that most of the stuff that he hears is just rumors but he is usually pretty accurate on his Michigan stuff.

Henne was hurt during this past Saturday's game against Oregon and did not play in the second half of the 39-7 setback. ABC-TV reported it to be a lower leg injury during its broadcast.

Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr did not reveal the nature of Henne's problem during a news conference on Monday, saying only that the senior is week-to- week.

-OR- No joking... I think the 0-2 says a lot about why Henne might not be playing.

I would like to see them go to overtime and hammer each other for about 6 or 7 overtime periods... At the end of that, who cares who won it. They would both be hammered dog ....!!!!!!!

I think Bill is seriously trying to get on my bad side this week. threw me under the bus in another thread and now throwing my Irish under the bus, not like they need any help but Damn.

Ryan Mallett is a true freshman and will be starting in Henne's place.

I hate Michigan I hope they get stomped, and of course the way this season has gone for the Irish that could mean a 17 - 10 final.

I hate Michigan because their players are so grossly overrated. When you take the parts out and plug them into an NFL franchise, they suck. I am anti-Michigan. ND and their frosh QB need to win this.

Especially that Leon Hall right?

And that Tom Brady? How overrated is he?

Marlin Jackson, Cato June?

Ty Law?

Jon Runyan, Charles Woodson?

... Okay. I'll give you Woodson. Not last year though.

Sorry about that Spec, just had to get some good 'ol fashion ribbing on ya...

Ironically, I AM Irish and I can't stand Notre Dame!! WTF?!?!

:specnatz:

Latest reports from ESPN have Henne out for 2-3 weeks with a knee injury.

No link. Sorry, it was on TV.

All good, it is not like I did not take a few jabs in my post. At least I can laugh about the season.

don't feel any way toward either. I was laughing when Michigan was smashed by Oregon & i was laughing when ND lost to PSU. I do think Michigan has the edge in this one b/c they at least have some semblance of an offense with Hart. I don't think ND has the athletes or QB to execute the spread offense the way App St/Oregon did against them.

This week of CFB is going to be sorry. I think i'll head to the U of H game, at least i'll have some rooted interest in that.

I have to give the nod to Michigan on this one because of Mike Hart alone.
Don't get me wrong, both programs are a joke but Hart has played well in both losses and deserves some sort of payback. I like the fact that he guaranteed a win and that he is stepping up to try and salvage some pride for their beleaguered program.

I like Claussen but he may not be enough to make up for the rest of the horrible players on ND. It's obvious that Weiss is vastly overrated and just fat and not a fat genius. Luckily for him his skin is the right color for ND so he won't get run out of town like they did Willingham. I am surprised that they havent just extended his contract another decade....after all, he is the 'genius'.

Either way, its gonna be a competitive game and its basically a sink or swim game for both programs. I do like how Michigan fan stole our trademarked rallying cry of 'ABC - Anyone But Carr' though.

I dislike Michigan, but I think this is easy money waiting to be taken. Michigan has a better team, is facing a team that isn't that great, starting a true freshman QB with a poor defense as well, playing at Michigan. Michigan is currently -7.5 so I think even with Mallett at QB, Michigan can cover that spread, though I'm hesitant to take it because of Mallett alone.

Ty Law?

Jon Runyan, Charles Woodson?

... Okay. I'll give you Woodson. Not last year though.

Ok I'll take these in order:

1. Tom brady was selected 199 in the draft. Very clearly underrated, as every team passed on him multiple times.

2. Marlin Jackson:VERY overrated. He was selected in the first round(#29) and had one big moment, INT Mr. Brady. in fact he was the replacement for Bob Sanders when Bob went down and you saw how well that D played. Marlin is overrated at this point in his career relative to where he was drafted.

3. Cato June was a sixth rounder so he has certainly outplayed his selection. Of course we will see how he does in TB and see if he is simply a product of the system or really pretty good. Jury out on him right now.

4. Ty law: He was a first rounder and excelled in NE. However he has been very inconsistent for the Jets and the Chiefs thus far. I would say right now Overrated.

5. John Runyan: 4th round pick and has outperformed expectations. So I would say he is underrated.

6. Charles Woodson: selected 4th overall and in my opinion hasn't lived up to it. He has had good seasons but nothing incredible. When you select someone 4th, he should be dominant and Woodson has not done that. I say VASTLY OVERRATED.

And here are a few more of the Michigan guys to think about:

Anthony Thomas, Chris Perry, Brian Griese, and Braylon Edwards.
