I am just glad we start off this season at home against a team that has a lot of questions likes the Cheifs. Hopefully we can escape outta there with a win.
Also I am happy we went 2-2 in the preseason lol.

That game was pretty bad...I always wish luck for the Raiders since I have plenty of family members who are Raiders fan (lol last years game against the Raiders was hilarious because everyone was making jokes about how horrible it was)
That will change when they lose by 14 points to the Raiders...I know they play the Lions first. I also know the Lions seem like the media's 'surprise Team' this year.
Well being that I follow the AFC West teams closer then some, here is my take on KC...
- They have lost their 3 best O-Lineman over the last 2 years and haven't even tried to replace them with anybody but scrubs.
- Their starting LT will be Will Svitek unless their is a miracle recovery by Damion McIntosh who has a knee injury. Svitek is a sixth-round draft pick in 2005 who has played offensive line in just one NFL regular-season game. Not only does he lack experience in the NFL but he only played defense in college.
- Huard is a good QB when he has time to throw but given the line situation that's not going to happen.
- Their defense is nothing special and their secondary is really bad. Look for Schaub to have a big game.
- Herm Edwards is a joke as a head coach.
I expect KC to draft top 5 in 2008...
I always thought their secondary was one of their strongest points.
Ty Law
Patrick Surtain
Bernard Pollard
Jarrad Page
Maybe a little long in the tooth, but still pretty good.![]()
I agree about Edwards. He seems like a great guy, but he doesn't come across as a good coach to me either.
Law & Surtain were good when younger but their play has dropped off with age, especially Surtain...
Last year as bad as our offense was they let Andrew Walter complete 27 of 37 for 226 yards; by far his best game while against everyone else he didn't even look like he deserved to be a starting QB.
PS - Does anyone know where the phrase "long in the tooth" came from? I'm only 29 but my teeth stopped growing a while ago.
I definitely expect a victory for the Texans. The biggest change this year is that the team is not going in there hoping to come out with a victory -- they expect one. It's kind of like Kubiak said in that luncheon speech. What you're hearing as the biggest difference in this team is the attitude. It will be a home game against a team with a lot of question marks.
This team believes they have the talent and cohesiveness to hang with anyone. Sure there will be bumps in the road and a bit of a learning curve at times, but I expect the team to be ready for this game as I'm sure they're just as tired (more) about hearing the Texan crap spewed by the national media.

I think I know who will be the "surprise" team this year..................
Team most likely to surprise
The Oakland Raiders are poised to make a dramatic turnaround under new head coach Lane Kiffin. Their defense was strong last season, but was undermined by a woeful offense that failed to score enough points. Moreover, turnovers by the offense consistently forced the defense to play on a short field.
But Kiffin appears to recognize that his D is capable of winning games single-handedly, so he's running a low risk offense that should keep the Raiders in games. If the defense plays at the same level as last season, the Raiders will win as many as eight or nine games this season.
Me too! I agree with Bucky...

lol
I was thinking more red white and blue, not silver and black.
