First, trading down is HARD. I dont' think a lot of people understand how difficult it is to find a suitable trade down partner. Especially when you are pick 10-20. A lot of people rated in the teens slip, and I think most teams would be willing to take that chance. That being said, heres my idea:

Trade down from 10 to 15 -25.

Heres my sample draft:
Trade pick #10 (1300 points) to NYG for pick #20 (850) and pick #51 (390). Giants released 1 LT and had their other retire, and so target Levi Brown. They trade with Houston to ensure he's still available.

At #20 - Texans select Reggie Nelson, S, Florida
At #52 - Texans select Anthony Gonzels, WR, Ohio St
At -#73 - Texans select Daymieon Hughes, CB, Cal
4th round - Texans select Samson Satele, C, Hawaii
5th round - Texans select BPA DT
6th round - Texans select BPA OG/OT
7 round - Texans select BPA FB

What do you think?
 
Well in reality the only way that works is if Levi is still there at 10. The problem being that the Dolphins and Falcons both need a Tackle so we will see. I do like that idea though.

I really want us to trade back now that we don't have a 2nd.
I don't think much of Hughes though and in the 3rd would like to see Josh Wilson or Fred Bennett.

In the 1st if we were picking at 20 Chris Houston becomes a possibility too, so we would definantly have lots of options.

I like the other picks you have there.

Looks good to me. I like it. Don't forget, with Buffalo and Green Bay looking at Lynch, there may very well be other options for the Texans in a trade down scenario.

There's a lot of emotional dust flying around, people trying to adjust to the "winner's curse" associated with the Schaub signing. Our team has improved, and once the dust settles, we will be just fine. I am still super geeked over the coming draft.
 
great mock g. i would be real happy if it turned out like that. great thinking about a trading partner, seems like it could be a good trade for both teams.

who are NYG's RB's now? Brandon Jacobs is a beast...if you play Madden, trade for him beacuse nobody can tackle him. lol
 
I like the trade down.

I don't know if Reggie Nelson would be available at 20...

I don't really like the Gonzales pick...I think we can do better...

and i'm just personally bias towards Dan Mozes, Center out af WV....

But i wouldn't be dissapointed with that draft at all...
 
Nice draft, although I dont think Nelson falls to 20 and I dont think Satele lasts to the 4th round I would be ecstatic if it played out like that!!!
