"Assuming the Texans arnt to stubborn to make the right pick again"...wth? Does the media still maintain we should have drafted Reggie even after it was proven he isnt a very good running back?

Reggie Bush - 1306 total yards and 8 TDs as a rookie, behind Duece no less...

Vince Young - 2nd rated quarterback over the last 6 weeks of the season, behind only Peyton Manning...

Mario Williams only the 4th best ROOKIE Defensive End in 2006...

WTH are you thinking...

Somehow I doubt thats true...

Unless I'm mistaken, VYs stats over the last 6 weeks were as follows:
94 completions / 160 attempts for 713 yards and 6 TDs/5 INTs
This makes his passer rating about 70
If thats 2nd in the NFL to Peyton, everyone else must have done awful...

Outside your reach for Branch with Cleveland, I think it's prety close to yours. Something real scewy has to happen to have Adrian fall to us at the eight. You believe other wise at this point, you're swimming in danile. All Day gives Cleveland a ligitimate rushing attack, which gives them something they haven't had in four seasons. An identity.

Lets look at those stats a bit closer:
Vince Young:
81.97 passer rating(not great)
6 tds/5 ints(not great)
i do not think these stats make him the 2nd rated QB after peyton in the last 6 weeks of the season

Reggie Bush
3.6 ypr: reasonable, 6 tds(pretty good)
8.4 ypc: nice: 2 tds(low).
Overall, Reggie emerged as a WR far more than a RB. I do not see him as a marshall faulk but more like a Steve Sanders. I do not believe Reggie can really run inside as well as the outside(and you saw him do that most of the year).

Mario
Mario had only 4.5 sacks but he also had that foot injury to worry about. He also was getting into the backfield, causing havoc, and making tackles behind the LOS. Also, as the season progressed, teams started running plays AWAY from Mario. That shows that they already respect his atheltcism and do not want him as easily in the play.

Its not always about instant gratification and stats GrandPa, Mario is a building block for the long term, the difference he madeto our defence didn't neccesarily show in the stats.

If Reggie was drafted on this team, he would be expected to be the feature back. Somehow I dont think fans would warm to the idea of Ron Dayne getting the majority of the carries with Reggie on the sideline or in the slot as with Deuce. His 3.6 ypc WITH a Pro Bowl running back next to him, the top ranked offense in the NFL and a significantly better offensive line then the Texans shows that he is not that good of a runner. He landed in the perfect situation in New Orleans and has been pretty good (not great). I dont think there is anyway he would match this production with the Texans this season.

One stat you can look to is win-loss. Our offense was almost the exact same as last year (minus the sacks), but we trippled our win total. Mario (and DeMeco) made a huge impact.

I agree it will take alot for Cleveland to pass on AD. The Browns have a horrible rushing defense...toward the end of the season they were looking pretty bad. They really need a defensive tackle beside Washington (who is getting old anyway). I think that pick could be legitimized much like the pick for Mario was with us.
